Default Anyone ever try this and does it sound legal on the diet plan?

http://www.examiner.com/x-355-Low-Ca...ts-Wow-in-Gold

its pizza where the crust is made of cauliflower, an egg, some cheese and some spices. if you add lite sauce on top and lite cheese i've read elsewhere it counts as your lean&green.

Yes, I've made it several times. It is "legal" on MF- you just have to portion it properly and count it accurately. It is realllly good! Make sure you bake/broil the crust well, before adding the sauce and toppings. I get it to a golden brown on top before pulling it out and topping it. Otherwise, you will end up with soggy crust. It really does not need any cheese on top, as there is so much in the crust. I've used sprinkles of fat-free Feta. Low fat "canadian bacon" (it's really just smoked ham) is great on it.

Awesome! Thanks. I am going to try making it tonight and I will update. From the way I look at it, if I eat half of it, and freeze the other half of the pizza crust, I am having 1/2 of an egg (which is 1/3 of my lean) and 1/2 cup of cheese which is 1/4 of my lean. So if I feel it really needs it I can add up to like 3/4 cup of low fat cheese on top of it (since I don't want to add meat). I think I will add very light sauce to the crust as well. Ah! I can wait. I have been craving pizza so bad!

Somehow the way I made it, I had the whole thing for L&G. I did equal parts cauli and cheese (1 cup each?), with 1/4 C. eggbeater. The Contadina pizza sauce in the squeeze bottle was the lowest carb I could find at my store.

Another good L&G is zucchini or eggplant lasagna- fat free ricotta/eggbeater layer(s), zucch/eggplant layer(s), spaghetti sauce (Classico tomato basil is the lowest carb I found- 9g. in 1/4 cup), I put some ground chicken in it- and fatfree or low fat mozz. cheese. This will last several meals, if made in a 9x13! I'm actually making it this weekend to keep me from straying and eating out.

i went to the store and got all the ingrediants! ahh i can't wait, haha. i've been craving some pizza, so if this tastes good, i might just have to have it every once in a while. also, i forgot egg beaters at the store but i might return so that i can have the whole thing as my lean and green. so if you use egg beaters it counts for less of your lean portion?

The 1/4 c. eggbeater is definitely less calories than an egg. (Only 30 cals.) Did you food process the cauliflower well? I add a good amount of basil and oregano, salt and pepper to the crust mixture before baking.

Omg, what a chore. Hopefully, you used the fine grate side, and not the shredded side. You could first cook the cauliflower well and then use a mixer on it, as an alternative.

yeah i used the fine grate side, then i went over it with a big, sharp knife to see that it was finely cut up, but i was thinking about sticking it in my magic bullet next time maybe?

I used my Magic Bullet and it worked well. I just pulsed it a few times.

The crust didn't work so well coming off the pan. I think I may try frying it next time, then, cooking the pizza in the oven.

That's a good idea, Operator... I've sprayed the pan well with PAM olive oil but still have a bit of stickage. Could be difficult flipping that crust in a pan though?
