It looks like interesting preliminary findings that warrant more research. I can see how it makes sense, although I know it wasn't true in my case. My brother had ADHD growing up and it makes you prone to impulsive behaviour, and eating could easily be an example of that. Thanks for sharing the article!

I have been joked by friends all my life that I must have been ADHD and missed as a kid! That would explain a lot about me!

There is lots and lots of evidence that many cases of ADD and ADHD are directly related to processed diets. This finding doesn't surprise me at all.

I've been doing alot of research on this topic, and from what I've found, lots of women who have ADHD/ADD were over-looked as children and not diagnosed because the 'typical' symptoms a teacher or parent would conclude as ADHD/ADD behavior is hyper-activity and not being able to sit still. While this behavior is a symptom, it is more attributed to boys with ADHD/ADD where young girls tend to be more "dreamy" and "spacey" or withdrawn. So many women aren't diagnosed till adulthood, often when their children are diagnosed, and the women finds similarities in herself and requests to be tested.
I'm waiting for a referral from my doctor to be tested, and hopefully, if I am, I can be treated and maybe that will help with the impulsive and binge eating behaviors I have as an adult!
