Default Fave GS Cookies

OK now yall got me dreaming of GS cookies! LOL!

DANG the Cinna-spins sound AWESOME! I've never seen them and now I'll never have one as they were replaced in 2009!

----------------- Girl Scout Cookie ROLL CALL!!! WHAT'S your favorite!!! ----

Thin Mints: Thin, mint-flavored chocolate wafers dipped in a chocolate coating.

Do-si-dos (Peanut Butter Sandwiches): Peanut butter filling sandwiched between crunchy oatmeal cookies.

Tagalongs (Peanut Butter Patties): Crispy vanilla cookies layered with peanut butter and covered with a chocolate coating.

Trefoils (Shortbread): A traditional shortbread cookie made in the shape of the Girl Scout trefoil logo.

Samoas (MY FAVORITES!) are also called Caramel deLites.Samoas (once changed to 'Caramel deLites'): Vanilla cookies coated in caramel, sprinkled with toasted coconut and laced with chocolate stripes.

All Abouts (Animal Treasures, Thanks-A-Lot): Shortbread cookies dipped in fudge and topped with an embossed thank-you message in one of five languages.

Lemon Chalet Cremes: Cinnamon sandwich cookies with lemon creme filling.

Cinna-spins (I SURE WOULD LIKE TO TRY ONE OF THESE!)
Introduced in 2008 by ABC Bakers
Cinna-spins are cinnamon-flavored cookies that come in 100-calorie packs. Cinna-spins are shaped like miniature cinnamon rolls.

Retired and replaced by Daisy Go Rounds.
Daisy Go Rounds: Very similar to Cinna-spins, this cookie replaced them for the 2009 sale. They are advertised as low fat and also come in 100 calorie packs. They are cinnamon flavored and shaped like daisies. These cookies are only available from ABC Bakers.

Sugar Free Chocolate Chips Introduced in 2008, they are small sugar free cookies.

Dulce De Leche Introduced in 2009, these are Latin caramel cookies.

Lemonades Round shortbread cookie with lemon icing.

Lemonades-I just had half of one the other night and it was wonderful!

I thought I was safe from the whole GS cookies thing,as we don't have any Girl Scouts in our town, but then my DH BROUGHT 3 BOXES HOME FROM WORK!What a traitor!!!!!!

I vaguely remember the peanut butter patties and the thin mints. I don't think I"ve had them since I sold them

I'd love to see the girl scouts set up tables where you can buy just one cookie and a water

Tagalongs and Thin Mints for me---yummm!!!

I've had one box of Tagalongs this time around (BIG binge item for me).
No thin mints this year.

I remember in college eating a whole box of thin mints at once and then throwing them up.
It was a few years before I could eat them again.

Thin Mints - from the freezer.

I had to give them up though. For me, a serving of Thin Mints is the sleeve. If I eat two, I am not satisfied, I want more and I am restless and anxious and want to eat eat eat. Although I have a lot of nostalgia for Thin Mint cookies, I just have to accept I am happier if I don't eat them.

I like the Thin Mints, and the pb sandwiches soaked in milk until they almost fall apart. Mmmmm.

Full disclosure: I was a Camp Fire Girl myself, and we sold boxes of chocolates

Another vote for Samoas! I was given a box this year (are people TRYING to kill me? ) but I managed to give away the box without opening it. Whew!

I also like Thin Mints, straight from the freezer as someone mentioned. So minty and cool and yummy - like Glory, though, a sleeve is the true serving size.

Trefoils have always been my favorite and I think the Samoas are a very close second...

Thin mints even though they no longer taste like mints. 1 buy one box a year as my indulgence and buy other flavors for DH to support the girls.

Samoas, Thin Mints, and Tagalongs are my favorites. I can't stop at just 2, though...which is why I bought some and gave them all away this year.

Samoas, Tagalongs and Trefoils. I haven't tried the Girl Scout flavored ice cream but the Samoa one sounds very tempting!

I must be the only person in the known world that can't stand thin mints. They leave a greasy film on the roof of my mouth...it's something about that particular kind of chocolate coating.

I DO, however, love me some Samoas, and don't mind the Tagalongs either (though they were too rich for me even in my heavier days, I'm pretty sure now I would be able to eat a max of one without getting sick). My dad just bought a box of Dulce de Leche from an old family friend, and I have to admit I'm intrigued.
