Between Sept 2005 and August 2007 I lost over 160 lbs. My scale only went to 350 and it took a little while to get there. I lost the weight through walking (and then later, running), lifting light weights, and calorie counting. By the end of the 2 years, I was running daily, enjoying yoga several times a week and feeling AMAZING! I felt like me again. I was in fantastic shape. My body was toned and muscular. My lowest weight was around 190.
In August 2007 I moved to another state and took a job that kept me at a desk 8 hours a day. Between that and eating take out with co workers a few times a week, I put a little weight back on. My weight evened out around 206-210. I was comfortable there, I looked good. I felt GREAT!
In December 2007 I found out I was pregnant
My husband and I were so excited! For the first 2 trimesters, I ate really well. I may have been taking in a lot of calories at times but it was all whole, nutritious food. I felt good. In the 3rd trimester though, I went overboard. I indulged in Taco Bell, Pizza, Ice cream, you name it! I loved every minute. Anyone who's ever had a baby can tell you that there's no point in fighting the cravings. LOL. Anyway, over the pregnancy I gained 55-60 lbs.
I've lost 25-30 so far but I want to take the rest off. Ideally I'd like to get back under 200 but I'll be happy with 200-210. I'm doing moderate exercise like walking, recumbent bike, and lifting weights. I'm also calorie counting.
