Oooo, that sounds so fun. I've heard those workouts are really vigorous strength-wise! Good luck honey!

Our university had "Strippercise" until someone told their mother they were in it... who told someone ELSE'S mother about it (whose child was not even in the class), and that mother (the one without a kid in the class...) complained to our university. Someone was supposed to come take the class, check it out and decide if it was okay. They never got around to it. So they just canceled the class.

My sister-in-law and our friend kicked up such a fuss, going on a public ideological diatribe about the university encouraging us to make informed, independent decisions... and then canceling the class without informing themselves as to it's (less than lude) content... that they brought it back.

This time, however, they called it "erotic dance aerobics." And that made it okay.

....oi.

"erotic dance aerobics" that's hilarious!!! Sure, that's a whole lot different from Strippercise. The people that go to erotic dance aerobics are the classier girls that make more money. LOL too funny.

Pole dancing aerobics sounds like fun!! I was looking for something like that lately but can't seem to find anything in my semi-little town. I found one belly dancing place that looked interesting... still finding the time to check it out. hopefully soon!

Update us with how the class went

My friend does it and swears by it. I will try some when I hit 214 or 199 as a gift to myself. ^_^

There is a Pole-lates class in the Birmingham area. I would love to take it, but it's $30 a class!

I've never been to a class, but I do have Carmen Electra's Strip-Areobis or whatever. I never went through the whole dvd, but the warm-ups are intense... Maybe I should pull it out and practice since my fiance's birthday is soon...

So I am going today, which is good cause apparently today when I stepped on the scale I was up 2 lbs which I don't get., I weighed in front of my hubby (bad choice). Anyway the class is 2 for 1 which is why I am going, I am worried there are going to be a bunch of skinny young b*tches oh well. I am surprised there is actually this type of class here, since you know Salt Lake City is land of the mormons. I'll let you know if I survive!

Good Luck! It sounds like a lot of fun!! I'm constantly on the lookout for ways to exercise that actually sound fun to me! I can't get up the motivation for traditional gym exercise so I try to do workout dvds but I think it would be so fun to do a live class!

Let me know how it went!!!

It was really fun, and a great workout. I think I am going back tomorrow or Tues. It is expensive but worth it. I am having my hubby put a pole in the basement, he thinks it is pretty sweet.
