Helloooo
I totally totally totally forgot that we now have our own chat thread! lol
I'm sooo excited to get started on this challenge. When I first joined 3FC back in April last year, I tried my first 3FC TBL challenge and it was such a great motivation...and the fact that I can be competitive helps me when I'm in these kind of challenge.
I will be weighing in tomorrow "morning" (which will be about noon since I work nights...) I got about 15 more minutes till I'm done with work for the day! yay!
Good luck everyone too!

ok so....i am so aggravated. i just got a new scale. its digital!!!! but here is the thing...it says i weigh like 10 more pounds than my old one did!!! wth???? anyway i tested one of the old fashioned ones at my clinic...and the digital one is right...to be honest i was wondering why i still couldnt fit into my old jeans! anyway...so now i have to update my signature and re realize how much more i have to lose...that is so depressing...thank God for this challenge to get me motivated and not dwell on the scale messing me all up. anyway. oh and before anyone asks...lol yes im a guy, thats why there is a little man on my signature... but im gay...so basically i am a woman. lol just teasing. anyway...i look forward to winning this challenge! i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whoot whoot!

Alright ladies (do we have any gents?), let's kick some serious butt.

I need initial weigh ins from everyone in the weigh in thread and was wondering if you would like to just edit your posts each week or submit new posts each week with your new weigh ins? Either way is fine, if I could just get a majority to pick one or the other, then we can decide as a team.

I will try to get a question up each day during the week, but will not be able to most weekends as I do not have a computer at home and no internet access during the weekends.

What is everyone using for a "diet?"

I am currently using Weight Watchers. I had a 3 months spell of being really sick, but am better now, so I am hoping to really use weight watchers now as I tended to stray when I didn't feel well.

I count calories and watch what i eat! i think its the best way to change your lifestyle and not have a huge transition from what you're doing when you're done "dieting".

HotPod - I'm so happy to hear we have a GUY!! As anyone who watches the Biggest Loser on tv knows... men are money when it comes to weight loss! Glad to have you on the team.

Kim - I answered you on the weigh-in thread already but I am fine with whatever the group wants to do with posting the weigh ins. I am just hoping for a summary sheet so I can tell how everyone is doing without reading every post. (although i prolly will read every post anyway - lots of free time at work) Also thanks for stepping up to be leader! I appreciate it.

I am counting calories and with the help of my Body Bugg I watch my calories burned and my deficit as well. Right now my plan is step up to have me lose at least one lb a week. It's slow... but steady.

I'll post a summary of how everyone is doing following each weigh in here... so far we have 1 vote for editing and 1 for either... anyone against editing, because we're leaning that way...

I've done pretty well today all things considering. My BF "broke up" with me last night and spent the night at his parents. I say "broke up" because he does this fairly often, although he has never left before, so I really don't know what to think. I'll find out at the end of the day. I had planned on doing C25K after school today, but due to the Nor'Eastern that is slamming us as we speak and the 3.5 hours of sleep last night, I'm postponing until tomorrow. I will just have to push even harder tomorrow. I'm kind of in-between as far as the BF goes. I love him, but I've had enough of the games. I know that I'll be okay whether we stay together or not, but I'm afraid I'll break down when I see him and only want to be with him. I wish he would just stay away for a few days, so I can think and figure out what I really want... but I know he won't...

I just changed my ticker to make sure I'm on synch with the challenge. When I was doing that, I looked at my past history...and ever since I got back on the wagon, I'm up and down back and forth, which kinda is depressing because it was not like I was doing well and then give up for the next weeks with no workout or anything like that.... 2 lb down one week and then 5 lb up, then lose that 5 lb over the next 2 weeks and then 4 lb up...and now I'm 3 lb less than last week. So I'm hoping it will stay that downhill direction... At least I weigh less than when I started again in January..(by 1.6 lb..bleh) lol
Well I am glad that I did not gain after the 4 lb gain last week.

I do Intuitive Eating type of thing... Like jahjah said, this has to be something I can do for the rest of my life and I did see success with WW but then as soon as I stopped counting points, I went right back up and more. Counting calories also can drive me nuts because I can be and tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to numbers=counting calories. And since I'm a Korean and cook a lot of Korean food at home with a lot of ingredients I can't find calories on, it can be really difficult for me. So I try to eat whole food, healthy food, and follow intuitive eating.

Hey people! I'm counting calories. I also work out three times a week with a personal trainer and 3 days on my own doing cardio.

I'm so excited to be a part of this team. Where do we post our measurements and weight for today?
