Hi everyone,

Are Quaker Oatmeal pancakes okay on phase two? Here are the ingredients and the label info:

OAT FLOUR, WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, BROWN SUGAR, SUGAR, LEAVENING (MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE, SODIUM BICARBONATE, SODIUM ALUMINUM PHOSPHATE), DRIED MOLASSES, SALT, HYDROXYLATED SOY LECITHIN, SOY FLOUR, REDUCED IRON.

CONTAINS WHEAT AND SOY INGREDIENTS.

Since the sugar grams are over the recommended amount in a serving, it isn't legally on plan. Especially since it contains brown sugar, regular sugar, and dried molasses, which are all no-nos.

I'd say No because of all the sugars. It's easy to make your own oatmeal pancakes. There are some recipes in the Breakfast section or you could look for others. Using a combination of rolled oats and oat flour and/or whole wheat flour would be much more nutritious too. Add some chopped fruit or different extracts and the variety is endless.

and its just as easy to make them from scratch as it is to use boxed mix.

Thanks for your help! It's going to be a while before I can eat pancakes again- I need to go back on phase 1, so I'm going to start that tomorrow!

Thanks for the link- I actual have been using a variation of that recipe that I have found on the message boards. I LOVE those pancakes! Actually, this week, I tried making the Cheesecake, so I'll be eating that for breakfast for a while!
