Default I put my money where my mouth is!

I decided I needed a drastic measure to make myself not eat chocolate or chips for the next 4 weeks. So I put my money where my mouth is and signed up for a goal at Stickk.com. I bet $12.50 a week for 4 weeks, for a total of $50, that I will not eat chocolate or anything containing chocolate, and I will not eat chips!

The best part is, I selected the "anti-charity" option. If I report that I failed... they donate my money to an organization that I DO NOT support. This is a huge motivator because there is NO WAY they are getting my money.

I might be getting carried away, but I feel like this is a huge incentive for me... I might make an exercise goal too!

You have the option of having a "referee" but I am working on the honor system.

I don't think I can ever give up chocolate. I don't like chips, so I am good there. For a healthier chocolate option, I make 3 dark chocolate (72%) dipped strawberries. I get my chocolate fix, but it is mostly strawberries and very little chocolate. Very nice and filling. You get the antioxidant benefit of dark chocolate and vitamins from strawberries.

I usually make this treat 1-2X week.

I eat sugar free fat free chocolate pudding with ultra skim milk (one cup only, makes it very thick and keeps the cals down)

but that is OT... good luck!

I'm not giving up chocolate permanently! But there is always chocolate in my house, due to my 2 roommates buying it, and it is ruining my best efforts. So for the next 4 weeks it has got to go!!

Money is certainly a great incentive to achieve goals.I started paying myself one dollar for every mile I walk on the treadmill.I love seeing the money add up and look forward to buying myself something special when I reach my goal of 300 miles.Might take me a long time but it is fun.

Thats a really neat idea.

How do they know if you didn't cheat? (I'm not saying you would, but someone with my willpower might!)

I might have to look into this. For the life of me, I can't curb my diet soda addiction. Thanks for sharing!
