Default Valentine's Day Weekend!

And I hope you have some romance and love in your life this weekend. So far I've received tail-wags and happy barks from my two four-legged lovers.

I'm puttering around the house this morning and then am off to town for a quilting class. When I get back, Rob and John and I have a "date" to go to a Church supper. How's that for excitement? Rob and John and a couple and make wonderful escorts. eharmony.ca didn't come through with a real date!

Hope your day is full of love.

GM Ruth...Isn't a Date a Fruit? Been so long since I've been out with a man I forgot what it's like! But then again, I'm not actively looking either!

Me: I just want to go back to bed, my eyes were itching all night and kept waking me up. Joe and I went to a nearby town yesterday and I picked him up a vacuum and a litter box for his kitty. I told him the idea of him having a pet does NOT entail me supplying all it's needs! Lucky for him I love animals and refuse to make it or he go hungry!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Jake and I are treating ourselves to breakfast and a bit of grocery shopping on this romantic holiday. After nearly 40 years of marriage, it doesn't take much to make us happy.
I don't know what the rest of the day will bring. I'll probably be asked to babysit while DS and DIL go out to dinner this evening, but I'll look forward to that.
Well, Jake is ready to go, so I'll be back later.

Tell someone you love them today, and make today special.

Good morning Chicks and Happy V-Day!

Ruth the four legged lovers are by far the best! Enjoy the church supper.

Loriann itchy eyes are the worst!

Zeff I'm sure your busy today, but good luck with the move and so sorry to hear about your cat.

DH gave me my present lastnight because DD insisted. I knew what is was because I had pretty much lead them right to it, but still acted suprised with my Jane Seymour Open Heart Ring from Kay's Jewelers LOL. The big suprise though was when he pulled out another box and gave it to DD and it was a ring she had mentioned wanting. I had no clue and that meant more to me than my own gift. Awwwwwww! LOL

Not sure what the day holds other than cleaning the kitchen. The evening however is planned with a girls HS basketball game. Who schedules games on V-Day???? Oh well I wouldn't want to battle the restaurant crowds anyway!

Here's hoping you all have a wonderful weekend whatever it may have in store.

Good Morning, Dear Valetines,

I'm just here for a minute. The shower is calling and I have to leave for Jazzrecise in 40 minutes. My DH brought me a dozen roses and my 5 year old brought me a box of chocolate. The roses are on the table in a vase and the chocolates are tucked safely in the freezer. They are so sweet!

Saturday must be a bad day for me to weigh in. I guess it's really my decision. I'm down 2 for the week, but yesteday, I was down 3.5. Friday weight is always lower. What day do you weigh?

Anyway, have a wonderful Valentine's Day. Careful of that chocolate!

Happy Valentine's Day.

Ruth, enjoy your *date* tonight.

Cottage, we've been married 42 yrs, We are going out to dinner but not tonight. Today is my SIL's birthday. He and my daughter will go out with us.

Lori, hope you feel better. My allergies have been bothering me with this weather change.

Pacer, the open heart is so pretty. I'd like one of those.

Chelby, change your WI to Friday. I weigh everyday, and usually it's a pound or two difference.

Chocolate is good, just make sure it's dark chocolate,

Cloudy day in store. I need to clean, so that's what I'll be doing.

Good morning Chicks No coffee left to offer. My computer was cranky this morning so I'm just getting on now.

Ruth - Doggy and kitty valentines are the best IMO and they prefer pots of grass to roses, much cheaper You can be my 3FC valentine any time!

Lori - Now you've got me thinking about the really yummy fresh dates at the Putney Co-op. It always comes back to food My allergies have been starting up to, maybe we should consider that a sign of spring?!

Cottage - DP offered to take me out to dinner but the thought of all those people just makes me twitch. I prefer my own cooking The only card I got was from my Mom.

Pacer - The ring sounds lovely. One good thing about my ex, he always bought his daughter roses too.

Chelby - I'd switch to Fridays I weigh just about every day and watch for patterns. It's actually made me more relaxed about the numbers because I can see how much it varies from day to day.

Pam - Have a good day

Zeff - Hope today is better. There's a book we had in the classroom, The Tenth Good Thing about Barney. It might be a little too advanced right now but worth taking a look at if you are in a bookstore (and I know how much you love bookstores!).

I am very happy I actually got a good night's sleep. It's amazing how much better that makes me feel! I did get an answer yesterday from my Dr. to a question that I've been trying to answer for 7 years. It was the answer I didn't want but finally having a name actually helps a bit. I think I can just move on with things now where I was really focused on getting answers before. I think it's my scientific brain - I like to have a name for things so I can learn everything there is to know about them. It all feels more manageable that way, at least to me. Of course I'm a geek

We have no special plans this weekend. We decided a long drive was a bad idea with my crabby back so it's sticking around home and doing chores. It's better than it sounds because I get to spread things out over three days. We also might go out tonight so I can snowshoe in the moonlight (DP will do night photography while I do that). I'm hoping to squeeze in a matinee tomorrow. I've been waiting for Milk to open and it finally has.

Have a good day gals!

Good morning all!
At the USO this morning, but wanted to pop in to say
Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Even thought you all aren't my Dear Love, you are still dear to me.

Today Rich and I are going to a Scottish Festival being held at the Queen Mary. And for dinner this evening we're going to our traditional Valentine's Day restaurant, Red Robin. Not the most romantic, however, it's where we first met, so it's totally approriate. Rich thinks the holiday is a bunch of hooey, so this is how we compromise.
May your day be filled with love and joy!!!!!
BLESSINGS

Happy Valentine's Day!
I have missed you all!! Life keeps throwing us curve balls and we are trying to keep our heads above water. My boss called and wanted to come pick up my equipment. We were supposed to be waiting this dry spell out, it was my understanding that I still had a job, just no work. Him picking up the equipment changed that. He said when things pick up, he'll give it back. Come on buddy! Just tell it how it is! I need to move on!! The bad part about him getting the equipment is that was my only home computer. DH has a work one, and the kids play on the old crappy one. I used my work computer for personal use too (boss said I could). So now, I am back on the crappy computer and we are pricing out laptops. We need a new one for the house anyway. My 7 year old needs to be able to get on the internet to play games. He plays at my mom's house and I feel bad that he doesn't get to do it at home.
DH should know about his job in the next 2 weeks. We are just hoping and praying he makes it thru. If not, we'll deal, but we'd rather keep the one he has!
Wanted to say hi!
Jenny

Morning. Happy Valentines day to all.
I'm kinda new here.
So far it's been a good day. Dh and I went to our church's Valentine's get together last night-so much fun!! I did eat a peice of cake. It was Red Velvet but it was from a mix so not nearly as good-not worth all that sugar.
We won't be doing much today as far as celebrating, we usually don't. Next Friday is our 22nd anniversary so I'm hoping we'll be able to do something on Sat. Funds are kinda tight so, we need to be creative.

Happy Valentine's Day, ladies! Brian and I watched the last Lord of the Rings DVD last night (he was too young to watch them when they first came out) but we didn't sleep in as late as I would have liked. I drove him and his bike up to the school this morning and followed him while he rode his bike home with his backpack on. I'd feel more comfortable if he planned to walk next year or have me pick him up but I'll probably let him ride since he wants to. It's only a 10 minute ride but in 90 degree heat it won't be fun. I'm going to have him take his cell so he can call if he needs a ride or has a problem.

He's working on writing up his science project now and then I'll take him to see his dad this afternoon. I've got no romantic plans for the day at all. Hopefully next year I will but I'm okay with now.

It was a pretty good day. Brian spent 3 hours with his Dad and Robert and I had a friendly visit when I picked him up. Hopefully we will be able to learn to coorperate for Brian's sake. I even picked him up a couple of things he needed when I was out at the stores.

I got lots of errands done and even have the grocery list made. Tomorrow Brian has a patrol meeting with pizza for dinner so I'm going to get something on plan that he doesn't care for

Good morning ladies! Hope everyone had a good day yesterday. I went shopping with my sister who was browsing new appliances. She got her taxes back and with three little ones she gets a very nice return. Their Fridge is so old it's dangerous, they have to keep it away from the walls so as the coils in the back do not set the wall on fire! Their stove catches fire once in awhile as well so they were looking to replace both of them and a dishwasher.

In our rounds we stopped at Circuit City. I couldn't believe my eyes. People were acting as if they had the best sale going. Some prices were marked down a little, but most of them were still higher than perhaps Amazon or elsewhere. We walked out without purchasing anything. They did have a TV I considered, but decided not too because I'm not replacing my TV.

I did purchase a long needed pair of sneakers. Marshalls had Sketchers I've been eyeing for awhile, normally 60, I paid 26!

Anyways... off to prepare for church.

Enjoy...
