Hello- how is everyone? I am glad that I finally joined. I am still new to my area and do not have anybody to help "hold me accountable". I would love to hear your tips to keeping yourself motivated and possibly make some new friends!

Hi there!

You know, I'm NOT new to my area and I don't really have anyone that keeps me accountable either 3FC fills that void beautifully! I was just discussing with someone that I can relate to people here that I can't relate to people in "real life". It's just a different experience and I'm so glad I stumbled across it!

Anyway, feel free to jump right in and we're glad to have you!

Welcome!!! You'll find lots of support and friendly people on here for sure, just keep coming and checking in!

And i guess i'll chip in my little tip of the day that's holding me accountable.... envision the end result and have that drive your willpower! Keep a food planner to hold yourself accountable and measure your progress. You'll do great!

everything junebug said! I have made such great friends here! They've really been at the core of my success. I wouldn't have been able to do it without them.

Thank you all! I think this will make losing weight more fun! I enjoy watching other people and myself succeed. I've read a few of the mini goal stories and was amazed by how supportive everyone is! And there are some great results being made!

Hi! I know what you mean about being new to an area. My husband and I moved to Arizona about a year ago, and sometimes it's really hard to just meet friends. Are you supposed to go to bars and cruise for potential friends!?! This is a great site that I'm relatively new to myself, and for a while I was shy to even post something! This site is full of intelligent, compassionate women who are here for support. Congrats and welcome!

meetup.com is a really great site.. I joined it back in December and I have met some really need people. Now it also depends on whatever city you are in and if there is a lot of groups... Since I live in Toronto, there is tons... so it depends

Wow, I'm new on here too and I feel exactly the same way! I must check in a million times a day to see what everyone has to say! Everyone is always so nice and supportive! I hope you learn as much here as I have! :-)

Thank you all! I'm glad to meet you girls and look forward to achieving some mini goals- 10lbs at a time =)

And thanks for the tip about meetup.com. Unfortunately, there closest thing is over 75 miles away.

AngelaNicole23- you look great! May I ask what type of lifestyle change/exercise you used? And approximately how long to lose the weight? I've been stuck on the same plateau and have increased my walking time and decreased calories, but haven't seen too much of a change. Thanks
