Default Water Bottles?

I asked this question about a month ago, and thought I'd post it here too and see what kind everyone uses here.

I'd like to be more economical and not waste so many water bottles. What are the best water bottles nowadays? Where do you get them? What are their prices? Any input would be great.....Thanks!

*I noticed on The Biggest Loser the water bottles they used, and those looked pretty nice, but I don't remember what they were called*

I bought a few rubbermaid 600 ml bottles, which have a straw and are spill proof. I have tried a bunch of others, but these work best for me. I think I paid around 4.00 or so for it.

Nalgene bottles are my favorite - They don't change the taste of the water. They are a harder plastic and can be found at REI or other hiking supply stores. I pretty much have one that I just wash once a day and reuse the rest of the day.

I asked the same question a few months ago, and I got lots of great responses. The new aluminum bottles are the healthiest and greenest options from what I understand. I researched and really want a large SIGG bottle, but they are expensive, and right now I'm trying to save $ where I can. So, I got 3 OGGI bottles - I got them at Ross's, which is a lot like a TJ Maxx or Marshall's. They were only about 6.99, but I know they are usually retailed for around 15 (the SIGG are 25 or so for the one I want).

I really like them, but I exploded one in the freezer. The directions clearly state not to freeze them, but I thought I would put it in for just a few minutes. Of course I forgot to take it out. Lesson learned.

I use a Pur filter pitcher on the counter and a plain ol' glass that sits next to it. If I am going out I take a plain plastic water bottle. It's clear pink plastic and cost about $8.

I mainly use a camelbak bottle I bought. It's plastic with a bite valve and it is BPA free. I think it was around $8.

I use a camelbak as well. I don't know how much it was because it was a gift. I LOVE IT!

28 oz Kleen Kanteen. I paid around $30 for it.

My kids all have the little Kleen Kanteens and we have a bunch of Earth Basics ones as well.

I use a metal water bottle, too, although I drink out of a glass at home. I figure it is something I use almost every day, so the expense is worth it.
