Hello team! I am super excited for another BL challenge! I did ok in the last challenge but I hit a plateau i guess after the first week. I will introduce myself... I am an orthodontic resident (I got my DMD in May and am in a 3 year residency for orthodontics). I have been yo-yo dieting for over 7 years! I was always thin growing up, gained weight in college, and have been up and down the same 15 lbs or so. Right now I am up of course.
I ate sooo bad the past 2 weeks (Just got back from my winter break) and haven't been on the scale. My pants are tighter than when I left and I have TOM so needless to say I am scared s***less to weigh in tomorrow.
I am trying to get in shape for my best friend's wedding in March and I want to be at goal by Memorial day weekend. I want to feel sexy for my BF (he already thinks I am but I disagree!). I want to stop dieting!!!!
Ok enough about me.. I can't wait to meet everyone!
yay dragon team!!!!
Can't wait to get started on the new challenge... ready to get back on track and back into my way-too-tight jeans. Not looking forward to getting on the scale in the morning... but oh well.
Anyway, no time for a long post, but looking forward to meeting everyone else
Hi everyone! This challenge should be great, really need something to kick myself into gear after the really bad (food wise) Christmas break! I'm also dreading weighing in but I'm afraid that'll have to wait until later as I have to scrape the snow off my car and go to work (I live in the UK by the way).
Looking forward to getting to know you all! Go Team Dragon!!!
Well to speak a little of myself I'm 22, and pursuing a career in writing. Writing for what, I don't know yet but that's half the fun! I'm currently attempting to get into Oxford University as an English Major, so hard, but I'm trying!
I really enjoy Japanese music, fashion, language, and pretty much a lot of things Japanese. Being raised around it, I'm not too surprised that's how I turned out!
I've always struggled with my weight, but recently I met the love of my life, I want to be perfect for him. I would also love to do this for myself but he is my ultimate inspiration. Let's do this guys! I know we can!!
I've been sick for the past couple of months but have still been pursuing the weight loss, although it is taking me a little longer then I had hoped because of being icky all the time.
So I'm a paraprofessional, a coach, and a waitress... so planning is key at all times for me.
hey everybody! GO TEAM DRAGON! i am soooo excited...and you will have to explain everything for me so that i know exactly what is expected of me. anyway i cant wait to lose this last 40 pounds or so, i have already lost 30. i just want to be able to shop at skinny people store for the first time in my entire life. just got a treadmill for christmas and im working out religiously. lol but just waiting for the that stupid water weight to get off. anyway im a student going to the university of oklahoma where i am majoring in accounting and MIS (managment of information systems) and i work at petco as a dog trainer and pet specalist. anyway thats a little about me i cant wait to meet you all!!!! and dont be afraid to push me a little...im in this to help you all WIN! LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
I'm loving the enthusiasm here! Really looking forward to this challenge Well, now work's over and done with I'll throw in a little something about myself since you've all shared too
I'm 27 years old, from the UK, I'm an internal auditor and will soon be training for an IIA diploma. I have a degree in Geology (what was I thinking I could do with that over here!?) and decided on a career change.
JRockSoldier: Just had to comment on your post about the Japanese stuff, you sound just like me My car and iPod are full to bursting with Japanese music, I adore the culture (though I have to admit to never having been there!), love the films, the food and just about everything else too Sorry, just thought I'd get that out as there aren't many people round here that like it

Cool! I mostly listen to the rock side of Japanese music and I am constantly trying to come up with a new style of clothing based on what's hot in Japan. You ever read Kera magazine? It's a Japanese fashion magazine, even if you can't read it's still really cool to look at all the clothing! We should music swap sometime!
I know we can motivate each other to loose that weight!!
Hi everyone! I'm so excited for this challenge. I gained back four pounds over the holidays so I'm hoping this will motivate me to get it off quickly! I live in Italy and work part time as a communications specialist. The rest of the time, I'm trying to get my masters degree. I broke my ankle last spring and never got back into exercising, so I'm hoping this challenge will help me with that.
I'm looking forward to working with you all! this is going to be great
This thread is quiet! I guess we are all so busy. I went on the scale again today and am already down over a pound (water weight i am sure) but I will take it! yay! I thought Arthwen said we have exercise challenges each week? Oh well! Looking forward to seeing you all on the boards!
yeah we are really quiet! im about to go shopping for more exercise clothes to wear. im running out of shorts to use on my treadmill, does anyone know where i can get good walking shoes and out fits for working out? im running to walmart becuase its close but still, its winter and finding shorts is really hard. anyway, i have already lost 3 pounds so that will help im hoping to do more, most of that is water weight. but i have no clue how this exercise thing is going to work! i barely have time for my 40 min long jog/walk routine on my treadmill a foot away from my bed! anyway ill do my best, i kinda wish that more points were awarded by how much we lose, i think i can help more in that area than exercise activites. what you all think? how do you think this is going to work out for you?
hi hotpod, I've always had great success finding workout clothes at Target, if they have one near you. very cheap and the stuff I have from there has lasted me quite awhile! its snowing like crazy here today so I didn't get to run outside. I'm going to do an exercise tape with a friend though so that should be good.
hello bakabeth!!! and yes we do have a target close by! great idea! do you like doing the exercise tapes? i have the turbo jam one...but i dont know if that is any good. or when im doing it, i get lost becuase im on the wrong foot or something. but anyway. quick question. do we always weigh in on mondays? and this chart thing is scary looking,....so for example when i do my walking. lets say i do the walking for 30 mins a day at least. so do i put down i did 7 sets of 30 mins of walking for the week? anyway if anyone understand this can you give me examples? thanks!!!! and we only weigh in on mondays?
