So all week I've been feeling flu'ey, nasty, achy...
I slogged through. Stayed on plan with eating and water. Got some walking in but mostly did my stretching and yoga.
I am feeling much better tonight but now my oldest little (Madeline, she's seven) has sore red swollen ears, swollen lymph nodes, massive headache, dizzy and queezy. Fever of 102.
And we're supposed to be going to sing carols at my grandmothers nursing home tomorrow, classical ballet solo choreography at 5:30 and dinner/visits with my mother in the evening.
INSTEAD we'll be going to minor treatment emergency first thing, keeping her home from school, doping her up on motrin.
Le sigh.
It's enough to make one want to snarf the entire very yummy candied/salted nut platter that ones husband brought home from his clients this evening.
I've been sick too - it's going around town. Achy, sore throat, headache, blech. I think I'll take a hot bath and stay in bed extra long tomorrow myself. I feel bloated or something too. All that to say I think I'm going through something similar so lets be whiny together.
Sorry to hear that you and your DD are poorly. There is never a right time to be ill but it always seems to be when you have things to do or want to do but can't.
Hang in there and drink plenty of fluids. Stay nice and warm. It is always good to vent and I know I feel better when I have said my piece
Hope you feel better soon till then take care of yourselves.
CFmama - so glad you ranted. It helps to let it out. It's disappointing when plans are changed. Sorry DD is sick. I am glad you've been resisting the food. Hold on tight...and dig your heals into your plan. I know you can do it!!
I hope she feels better soon! Poor thing, I just had the sickies go through my three boys two weeks ago, it wasn't nice, so I feel for ya!
It's better to rant than snarf on those nuts!
Hope you two are better soon. I feel like I've been on the verge of a major knock down drag out nasty cold for a week now. I really can't afford to let it hit with full force, so I'm loading up on "gypsy cold care" tea and taking it slow in my minimal down time. Healing love for you and your little one!!!
