With a week to go before hubby gets back onto American soil, i'm freaking out. I need some confirmation... Okay, so I've got a shot from when I started and it's about at the same angle and at a size 10 (black shirt), then one of me yesterday in the white cashmere turtleneck minidress i've been trying to fit in and look GOOD since I started my journey back in April. I'm down about 56lbs since then (NO it was not all fat, I slimmed out from a lot of bulky muscle I got in the army.)
The White Dress story -- Okay, everyone knows it's nearly impossible to look good in white. Well I was at Anne Taylor and on the clearance rack was this beautiful white cashmere and silk blend turtleneck dress from the previous winter collection. It was a size small, but it was gorgeous and only $75. I bought it with the hopes of fitting in it and looking good. This sort of fabric clings to every flaw you have. Yesterday I put it on and dear god... it fit! I don't have a tripod so I couldn't get a full body shot, nor do I have a full body shot of when I started. I kind of avoided pics altogether...
I went out in it yesterday (I paired it with those mega hot Christian Louboutin boots) feeling horribly self-conscious, but it wore off. We'll put it this way -- I was getting such a massive amount of catcalls, approaches, and men running me down I had to stop at home and grab a can of pepper spray.
Men are stupid though. Anything in high heels gets their attention. The real test is what other women think. Can you see a difference?
EDIT!!! - Picture added. I apologize for it being blurry, my craptastic camera is unable to take decent photos without flash. It's enough to get the dang point though. It's also a clear indication that I need to buy a seamless slip as well. Yikes!
