When I first started on this journey I refused to set a goal other than 10 pounds. It was just too overwhelming. As I worked on changing my bad habits, I realized that I have a huge desire to get below 200 and need to lose at least a 100 pounds. Those goals are in my mind anyway, so just two days ago I changed my signature to reflect the goal of losing 100 pounds.
I weighed this morning and then updated my ticker. Looking at my ticker, it dawned on me that I am ¼ of the way there! It seems dense of me to not realize two days ago that I was close to that quarter point but for some reason I didn’t.
Losing 100 pounds seemed so out of reach but suddenly I think that I can do it. I want to thank all of you here. I have been really inspired by you. When I need encouragement, I read the success stories and look at the before and after pictures. I lurked for awhile before ever posting. This forum is a real blessing!
When I get to that 100 pound point, I may set another goal but the 100 pounds is enough of a goal for now.
congrats! I agree, 100 pounds is a great goal, you never know how you're going to feel on that side of 200 pounds! I have the same goal, although I'm not sure if or how much I'll plan to lose after that.
It is great to look at goals in pieces. You'll be there before you know it! 25 pounds is very impressive and makes such a difference in terms of health and how we feel!! Keep up the good work!
Congratulations! I like what someone here said about the year passing whether you are losing or gaining. It really does and what a difference a year can make. I started almost a year ago and I'm closing in on 100 pounds. It is so doable! It's amazing how quickly the time has gone. It does help to focus on small goals and don't worry about that big goal, it will come if you keep at the small goals. I focused on the difference in how I feel. It's amazing how small amounts of weight loss can make you feel so much better. Keep sharing your progress, it's so inspiring to all of us!
Awesome! Congratulations! And now that you've done it once, and you know that it's totally do-able, there's no reason to think that you can't do it again!
