Default December NSV

With the rise in popularity of the “things that make you feel good” thread I thought I would start an old thread we use to have … NSV

What is this thread about? An NSV is the shorthand for Non Scale Victory. These are the little things that happen in your every day life that make you feel good but are not reflected on the scale. Things like you a new jean size or a complement some one pays you.

So what is your December NSV?

Love it when that happens!

My NSV for december, well I was at a casino with my aunt, and i was at a machine that was next to the bill breaker, one guy put a hundred in and started to walk away when i noticed that he left a 20 behind, so i called him back and gave it to him, i hope that it made him feel good to know that there are still honest good people in this world

Today I wore black leggins for the first time since I was a child. I feel confident. I was a little nervous at first but I know that I'm rockin them!

I got compliments on my body yesterday. Lots. Sadly they are not fit to repeat here. But they made me feel good

My older brother said that he noticed I lost weight and even said something nice about it. Shocking.

I spent close to an hour trying to find something to wear this morning. Most of my wardrobe is too loose.

Darn, eh?

Well, this is a non-scale, non-weight-related victory... after 3 years, and 3 different sets of crappy used washers & dryers, my husband and I FINALLY broke down and bought a brand new set at Sears, it was a set that was on sale as a door buster for Black Friday, so we got the dryer for free and a discount on the washer, it was a GREAT deal. They were delivered today and now I FINALLY have a brand new appliance in our house, that works and that neither of us had to install- it came with delivery and installation.

I don't know why, but I feel much more hopeful for our future with a nice washer and dryer- isnt' that silly? All the sudden all these big problems I thought we had don't seem as big anymore, just because I don't have the stress of "will I be able to wash our laundry this week, or do I have to haul everything to the laundromat again?" It just feels like a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. Silly, I know.

Jah Jah - yikes! It's hard enough for me with just 1 kid! Maybe you can find a good deal on something on craigslist.com! Good luck, such a bummer. I can definitely say my life is better with a working washer & dryer, everything goes better haha!

I wore my size 12 skinny jeans (they only fit me when my weight is below 170)

I went shopping yesterday and bought a bunch of stuff at kohls because I had gift cards from after thanksgiving shopping that had a bunch of discount stuff. I got a bunch of clothing that I though wouldn't fit me at all until I had surgery and when I got it home and tried it on ... it all fit. I know it will look better once everything is smoothed out but still suprised it fit.
