Unhappy I gained on CORE

I switched to CORE last week because I gained (1.0 then .6) two weeks in a row so today I WI and gained 2.2!! The leader said my tracker looked good and sometimes it happens the first time on CORE. Right now I am so discouraged and feel that I'm doing everything right but I'm having no success! I felt I did really good this week and felt good but ahhhhh!!!! I just want to scream! It was bad enough that while she was talking with me I was crying and left w/o even staying for the meeting which I really enjoy but I just couldn't! Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Right now I'm pretty desperate because I should have lost so much more by now!

Hey Jan,

I replied to you over in the taco salad thread but I'll paste what I wrote there here:

Have you tried combining the two plans, counting points for your food but making sure to eat primarily Core foods? It could be that your portions are either too big or too small (eating too little will often cause your losses to slow or even turn into gains). Especially with exercising every day, you may not be feeding your body enough fuel for all your activity. So try counting points and calculating your earned APs and eating those too. See if upping your intake doesn't jumpstart something for you!

Hi Jan!
Are you drinking your water? I find that if I don't drink my water I don't lose. And it has to be water, not and other kind of drink. And yes, Judyblueeyes mentioned the exercise thing? When I first started WW, I couldn't understand HOW I'd gotten so big. I've been a regular workout junkie for 9 yrs! And I always try to eat pretty healthy, and over the years I've gotten up over 200 lbs and I'm only 5'3"....What I discovered was that I wasn't eating ENOUGH! I couldn't believe it! I started eating more often and started dropping pounds. Weird. I hope our suggestions help you out! Good Luck!

I do a combination of Core and Flex...mainly to keep my portions in check Maybe try that? Also like Itty said...make sure you are getting your water in daily!

Are you exercising too? Maybe increase your activity or switch things up a bit in the routine.

Thanks everyone for the good advice. I did drink my water this week...I made a point of that! And I do walk at lunch everyday and never use my AP so I'll stay on CORE but count points and see if that works! You guys are great!
