Wow, and we have interest!
YES, it would stay in the 20-somethings, and see below for more details.
Ooookay! So, here's the deal. If you've never seen
The Biggest Loser before, it's not a bad idea to check out an episode. This is the first episode from a few seasons ago (Season 4) (they're on season six right now):
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Essentially, the reality TV show has real people, split up into teams, who work together to lose (together) the most amount of weight. People who do poorly at weigh-ins get voted off, fewer contestents, yadda-yadda.
Obviously, since everyone weighs something different, the weight loss is measured by PERCENTAGE of weight lost, as opposed to who lost however many pounds (something that yes, Heidelene, we'd do as well.
It's only fair!)
On the 3FC 20-Somethings Forum, everyone interested would be chucked into a hat by me, and I would draw teams, probably keeping the teams FAIRLY small (5-8 people) depending upon our number of participants.
Each team would be assigned a colour (Or perhaps a pattern. Team Plaid. Team Polka-Dots. Team Paisley. Whatever I'm in the mood for.) and they would each have their own thread to check in with their team, form strategies about exercise routines, encourage each other, and work together to lose the combined highest percentage of weight loss, and beat out the other groups. Obviously, everyone's on different plans and schedules, and no one expects you to change that... but with The Biggest Loser, you have to think twice before you binge, lest you hurt your team!
[It is an expectation of this game that you are being honest. Please keep in the spirit of the game and the 3FC Forums, and be honest about what you've lost!
]
Once a week, everyone would have to weigh in and post their weight (Sunday by midnight, say, if we start the week on Monday). This could be done in your team's own little thread, and you can elect a team captain (preferably someone who spends too much time on the 3FC forums). This person would add up your team's total weight, add up how much you've lost in total, and post it in our Official 20-Somethings Biggest Loser Thread. I can calculate the percentage your team has lost, or you can do it yourselves.
Each week, the team captain would provide your team's starting weight for the week, and how much you've lost as a whole.
If you guys are interested in creating exercise-related challenges the way they do on the show, and as Robot suggested they do in some other Biggest Loser Challenge threads on 3FC, we can figure that out as we go along.
This is the list of interested participants that I have so far. I'll add to this list as people express interest. I was thinking of starting this on
MONDAY NOVEMBER 17th (this Monday) and it would run until
TUESDAY DECEMBER 16th. If you are no longer interested, and would like to NOT be added to a group, please say so in this thread, and I'll remove your name from the list! Cheers!

I know that there are always cases of people not being around the forums for a bit, showing up later and going, "Damn, I would've liked to be a part of that. " As such, once the final groups are made (Sunday night, likely), you can Private Message me, or post here to ask about being either added to a group, or to begin a group for "stragglers."
Tentative Teams-- Teams may have players added or shuffled before Monday if and when more people join, but these are the teams for now! (Teams were chosen
completely at random... I counted 1 through 47 on a piece of paper, sticking each number under a team heading, then went back and found out who corresponded with each number from the above list!)
