Thumbs down

G'mornin' everyone. I certainly will not be needing my sunglasses today--its cloudy and it looks like its been raining or maybe its still raining...can't tell. I have another OP day under my belt and it feels good to be in control!

AND...do I dare say this?! My foot and ankle are feeling better! My foot is starting to look my foot again--the swelling is just about all gone! I was really starting to worry wondering if I was going to have to put up with this for the rest of my life!

Judy, thanks for opening up for us this morning!

Sharon, you're beginning to think like a thin person! I liked what you said about having a bad day and that the next day you just get back on track--that is how thin people think!

Christine, inspite of your busy weekend it does sound like a successful one--you stayed on program! Are you weighing in this morning? Or are you waiting?

Pat...so how many pairs of sneakers do you have? You're weekend made me TIRED! And I like Brad Paisley also--have a great time next weekend when you see him in concert. BTW, I got my Paul McCartney concert tee shirt...*sigh*...<shaking my head>...I don't think I'll ever let my daughter forget about this...

I'll post the recipe tonight when I come back home from work...

Gotta get ready for work...

Good morning Emmy, glad you checked in! <high-five!> That's great you had another OP day! Put some cheese or some other protein in that salad--you need more 2-3 points at lunch time!

I'm back...sip sip sippin' coffee...

Gail I definitely won't be needing my sunglasses today either...rainy, windy, slightly chilly. I can't believe how green everything is already though...George cut the grass last night, and I'm getting ready to do some planting...the weekend after next probably.
I'm so glad your foot is starting to feel better. I'll say a little prayer that it continues to improve.

Christine Yay for you for staying OP! I know it would be so much easier just to say to heck with it and go with the flow of everyone else. But doesn't it feel GOOD being in control.

Pat So glad that you were able to stop by last night. Sounds like you have a busy, busy week ahead of you.
We ARE at the same weight now! Let's keep dropping those numbers down!

emmy You mentioned something before about your husband being from Blacksburg? Or somewhere near there? I'm in Christiansburg, about 10 minutes from B'burg. I love it here...nice town. We were fortunate enough to find a little house not far from where hubby's granny has lived for about 40 years. Hubby was raised mostly in Radford, where his momma still lives. If you're ever in the neighborhood...
Gail is right about putting a little something extra in your salad. Some protein will keep you going longer. I love adding a point or two of shredded lean turkey or some FF shredded cheese.

To all the PINKIES! Hope everyone is doing good on program, and if anyone is struggling please remember to reach out to someone else on the thread. We're here for each other.

Supper turned out really good last night. I only ended up having one turkey sausage though...Preston climbed up on my knee and proceded to help me eat. I ate a LOT of salad...everything tasted so good and fresh.

It does feel good to have another OP day checked off.

Counting down the days till Samantha gets here:8

Good Morning - !'m Baaaaack

We decided at the last minute to take a trip. Went to Raton, NM. Nice little town. Stayed 2 nights. No cooking. No cleaning. Just took some books and read. Very relaxing. I went over points but I can reverse bank most of them. I journaled everything. I weighed on my scales at home this morning and I weigh the same as I weighed last Thurs when we left. And back on track today with low point stuff and lots of water.

Gail - I'm glad your foot is getting better. You gonna be able to walk now? We walked to the restaurant over the weekend. Not very far but far enough maybe it helped.

Judy - 8 more days huh? Are you getting excited? I'm so happy that she will be able to spend time with you. What kind of turkey sausage did you have? I'm always on the lookout for new stuff...

I skimmed thru part of the threads from the weekend and the only thing that really sticks in my mind is the wonderful dessert that Judy mentioned with the ice cream sandwich!! I can't find any of the mint ones but I bet it would work just as good on any ice cream sandwich..

I guess I'd better post this and see if anyone else has posted in the meantime. It's taken me a while to get this written.

Default mid-morning check-in

I swear Joyce, you and I think alike--I can't get that dessert out of my mind either! Thanks Judy! I've been told by the specialist to not walk on the treadmill for at least six weeks and then to start slowly.

Judy, ohmigosh--8 DAYS until Sam arrives! Everything is so green here also--our grass is so thick! Wayne hopes to cut our's tomorrow. He keeps staring at it--I think he's watching it grow! I agree with you--anyone struggling should speak up--that is what we're here for! That was awfully nice of Preston to help you eat your dinner!

OH! Christine, I do wear one of those ACE foot/ankle sock thingeys...gets on my nerves sometimes and I have to take it off but it really does help.

Later...

Good Morning Pinkies

Judy That is great that it's only 8 days, I know you are so happy and know the night before you won't be sleeping too well, just waiting for her flight to come in.

Gail I am so glad to hear your foot is doing so much better. Thanks in regards to the receipe, I will be looking for it. Yes, I am beat for all the running I did over the weekend. But really needed to stay home and clean up my bedroom but have a whole pile of t-shirts that are too big for me.. And before Christine says it, I have a new outfit on, well the skirt has been in my closet for over 1 year from Lane Bryant, but needed new top. I found about 6 skirts with tags on over the weekend, and went to Lerners and got some t-shirt tops to match ... for sneakers, well, maybe 12... lots are from Payless...

Emmy Glad you stopped in, come and sit and enjoy the nice pot of Coffee that Judy made for us this morning. Glad you had an OP day, I did good yesterday too.

Joyce Welcome back, glad to see you had a good time over the weekend. I need a weekend like that...

Ok, need to get back to work... Christine are you here yet? Hi Sharon It's raining here today, so I won't be walking at lunchtime ... and it was so cold last night... put all my blankets back on my bed.... I will check back in after lunch...I got my 32 oz of water and have it 1/2 way done... anyone else?

Morning Flamingos! I like saying that kindof sounds like Amigos.

Well kiddies are off to school and I sloshed in here to work so I thought the first thing I'd do is check in to the cafe.

Sharon - If you hadn't heard by now Little E won the race yesterday. I had to laugh at my dh, he was so nervous. He's in a few race pools at work and he had Little E for 2 of the 3 he's in.

Gail - Yes I was busy this weekend, next weekend doesn't sound much better. NO, I did not WI again this morning. You know me I hate to get that scale out of the box. Besides it's TOM and today I feel really really crappy. This may have contributed to my gain Friday too. So I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing and hopefully it'll all be gone by this Friday morning.

Emmy - Was that you rushin' in and out? I agree with the ladies add some protein to that salad. It'll fill you up.

Judy - It felt wonderful Saturday being OP. Not only did I stay OP with my cooler food of wise-choices, but I saved money by not having to buy stuff at the snack shack. Only 8 more days. I can't wait. Gosh I love happy endings and reunions. <sniff sniff>

Joyce - Sounds like your trip was nice and relaxing and you maintained while away. That's great!

Dang, I've got to go work problems calling my name.

Default yeah...I'm back...you got a problem with that? LOL

Christine, drink LOTS OF WATER this week. I swear it will help you get rid of that bloated feeling. Stay on program. I want this to work for you so badly!

Pat, I've got some clothes in my closet just waiting for me to get into them! And a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes! I've drank 8 oz. 1% low fat milk, 16 oz. of water, 8 oz. of decaf coffee--got 32 oz. down. I've got two 24 oz. bottles of water with my name on them...just waiting for me to crack open the tops.

Work? Bleh!

I fell like crap ladies. Wish I would have stayed home. I was suppose to have an afternoon meeting but it's cancelled. Oh well. I'm at 10 points so far today. And I have a 7 point lunch with me so I should finish the work day at 17 points. Don't know what's for supper....that's bad. If all else fails I have boca's at home or fish I can make for myself. Got to 16 oz. water bottles here on my desk and 1 waiting for me for the ride home. That'll make my 6 and I'll probably have diet decaf tea for lunch so Is hould be ok on the water.

Pat - Thanks for coming to check on me. It's not raining right now. We could do our short walk around the capital, I'll have to wait to see how I feel till then.

Gail - Now what's that first line all about. We'd never have a problem with you coming back. <shaking my head> Yes I'll drink lots of water, I went to Walmart last night and bought 2 boxes. I also got yogurt, some graham cracker snack stix (13 sticks for 3 points), and Quaker Granola bars Blastin' Chocolate, 2 points.

Ok, better get back to work for now.

Can you leave work early Christine to go home? Sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you can get outside to walk--perhaps getting out of the office will help. Is that a new product--graham cracker stix?

Just drank another 16 oz. of water! *glub...glub...glub!*

Its lunch time

So far, it's oatmeal-3 pts, 14 oz of tea-1 pt (cream), 32 oz H2O, going to eat for lunch, LC Chicken Chow Mein - 4pts, orange - 1pt and more water, cottage cheese w/fruit (3pts?) = Total of 12 pts. and 46 oz of Liquid. Will have 12-17pts to play with for the rest of the day.

My foot is starting to hurt, even with these new shoes. Now I have a question, with all these years of working part-time in retail and my feet never hurt, now that I have started walking too.. my feet hurt, well, I should say one foot hurts...

Gail So true, about shoes, but you don't want to know how many black pairs of shoes I have (need for Disney).. I have always had many pairs of shoes.. Like to have my feet look good. And it's funny, cause I over heard an gal that taught aerbics in CT say once, "heavy set women usually have lots of shoes", cause it something that looks and makes them feel good.. Oh, well.

Where is everyone? I will be back later...

Good Morning!

I see I am already way behind all of you. That is what I get for working.

Pat, I did see you asked me yesterday about how many grandchildren I have. Just two for the moment. My DIL seems to be starting to get mushy when she sees a baby or baby clothes. It won't be long now probably before they have one. No I don't have any announcements. Her mother has noticed this also and I see it when they come out here.

Christine, I did see the Jr won. Kind of cute the way they have dubbed him Little E!

I am printing out the thread and hope to catch up with the rest of you at lunch.

Afternoon, I'm still here. Guess I should take some motrin or something huh?

Gail - No I'm not leaving early, I came in late today. But at least I'm alone today and don't have to wait for anyone. I'll actually get home early anyway. LOL

Pat - My sneakers have been to camp with me 2 rainy weekends in a row. Needless to say I'll need new ones soon. Do you have a heel spur?

Sharon - Awww, hope that DIL blesses you with another GC soon. I get mushy over babies too. Now I can hold them and give them back though.

Guess I'll get back to work. Actually got a corner of my desk cleared off. Wonde rhow that happened? ROFL

Oh and I'm at 20 points for the day. I got some pretzels at lunch time. For some reason when I eat grapes I feel like I need someting with more substance. Apples does the same thing to me.
