Default Started the process...yea...im so excited

So I have officially started the process for my Gastric Bypass surgery. I saw the nutritionist today. She weighed me in with my official start weight. I am not allowed to go above this weight. She gave me a goals list of things i need to start doing now to prep for a life after surgery. We went over all my eating habits and patterns and identified all the things I have been doing wrong and she told me the way I am suppose to be. No more skipping meals. Nothing with more than 10 g of sugar. I must add protein to each meal I eat. I have to journal all i eat and drink. I go back to see her again in November and I meet my surgeon in December. I have to go for a psych analysis next week. I am just happy to be on my way....

Woohoo!!!! Good for you honey!

Just do as you are told by dr and staff and all will be fine. Come here often and talk about things. From experience, it all seems like a crazy emotional roller coaster ride between now and your surgery date and you will always have an ear here.

I am excited for you!

And so it begins!

I'm still in the pre-op phases, too. I have been working with my PCP for my required 6 months of dieting for insurance. I have my initial surgeon consultation later this month and my psych evaluation the first week of November.
