Default Major Surgery and Starting Core Over

I had major surgery August 28. I decided 3 weeks later to rejoin WW and do the CORE Program. The first week I lost 1 lb. The 2nd I gained .4lb

I had a hysterectomy due to fibroid issues (got to keep the ovaries).

Has anyone had a challenge like this to overcome? How did you do it. I am not discouraged yet, I think maybe my body is still healing.....but shouldn't it be working anyway? The 2nd week, I even decided to count to see how many points I was getting in....and I was under if I were doing FLEX. Does that mean that I am not eating enough??

I also started walking everyday for 30 minutes. Somedays I did 2 walks. I am adding my eliptical today! Dr. Approved! I also go back to work on the 16th.

Just wanting some encouragement. Or if anyone else has gone through this......some advise!

Congratulations for getting on core. If you are eating less points than what you should eat on flex, you are not eating enough. Plus, I've always heard that if you don't eat enough, and you are getting in exercise, you might not lose because you aren't getting enough "fuel" for you body. If you are working out, sometimes you need to eat more.
Just stick with it. Core is the way to go. I've just gotten back on it myself. I fell off the wagon, but I'm back on it and am making myself stick to the program. I've lost over 30 pounds on it already(I was actually closer to 40 before I fell off the wagon) and I know it works!
Unfortunatley I know nothing about your situation regarding surgery. I haven't had to experience it so I'm not much help in that area.

Hi Frannie, I've also been off the plan due to surgery and other obstacles... not the same kind of surgery, but I can relate to how you must feel (I think). Wishing you a tonne of success!
Here's hoping that we all stay positive!

Hi Frannie-I think you have to give yourself a break, and I do think you body is still adjusting to the surgery (I am an RN). Make sure you are eating enough, and follow your doctor's advice on exercise. If you stick with core, you'll find that you actually feel better because you are eating a much more healthy diet. Hang in there!
