My goal is very similar. I want to be about 22 pounds lighter then I was yesterday by Jan 15. I am also doing WW counting and working out. Doing the C25K program for running and the Barry's Boot Camp DVD's.

How many points do you get a day?

I get 22 points but am right on the edge of the 20 points so I'm aiming for 20 points. What are you doing for exercise? I really like the C25K deal...I find myself looking foward to it which is CRAZY to me!

I am going on a vacation on Jan 17th and really really really just want to be my weight before I go there....and it's only about 22 pounds so I think that is something I can get to if I try hard enough. My problem is getting under the 160 mark....I don't know what my deal is but I have such a hard time getting under it.

Default me too!

this sounds like a good jumpstart goal for me. i have started cutting refined flours out of my life and started carefully portioning my food. for exercise, i will be working out on an elliptical, lifting small weights and doing a bunch of dvds like "30 day shred" and some crunch fitness pilates workouts.

any encouragement from the group would be amazing!

Default I'm In

I'm in on the 21 pounds by Christmas. I think it's attainable too if I can stay focused. I'm going to try portion size. I am also going to start every dinner with a salad first so I feel full on "regular" sized portions. I've started a moderate exercise plan, 20 min of pilates 4 to 5 X a week. Not sure if pilates is enough.

Im in! I am also doing WW points. This is going to be a tough goal to reach! At WW last week they said that there is only 12 weeks to christmas, but hey I am up for a challenge. My mini goal is 8lbs by Halloween. Its about 2lbs a week.

I have a good feeling about this challenge. I think it'll really keep our motivation up with so many people joining in. I added a Yoga Booty Ballet workout this morning just because I knew need to bump it up to lose 2 pounds a week. I'm only going to weigh myself Monday mornings so I don't get discouraged by the scale. My biggest challenge will be not overindulging this weekend as it's our Canadian Thanksgiving. Any suggestions? I have a restuarant dinner Frinday night and a family feast on Sunday.

For the Thanksgiving thing, I would suggest that you dont deny yourself of anything, but rather keep it to reasonable portion sizes. I know that if I want a cookie and I eat a cracker instead to save calories, then I will think about that cookie in 20 min and have to eat another cracker. This repeats until I have the dang cookie and then I have eatten the calories for all the crackers and the cookie. Just think about what you put in your mouth and if it is worth the exercise to get it off.
