Structure
Hi! I had the most success when I went to Structure House in NC (USA). Lost 25 pounds, but more than that I really learned that I needed to structure and plan my eating (3 meals a day, no snacks). Basically, like most seriously overweight people, I eat in response to everything! I learned a lot more about why I eat and how to cope in ways other than eating. It's not cheap, but it was worth every penny. There is no magic formula -- you have to expend more calories than you eat to lose weight. That's the ONLY way you will lose weight, no matter what someone tries to sell you -- low carb, high carb, low fat, high fat...better to go for a balanced diet you can live with in the long term, or you'll just gain it back. It hasn't been easy, but I don't think it ever will be -- this is a lifelong struggle for me, so I might as well learn to live with it in a manner I can handle over the long haul.
