Default How do you eat?

I have been looking at my food journal and notice that I am eating several small point "mini meals" a day vs before when I was eating 2 large meals a day -

How do you eat? Are you a grazer or do you stick to the 3 meals and a snack?

My schedule looks like this

7:00 Breakfast
10:00 Snack
11:30 or 12:00 Lunch
2:00 snack
4:00 snack
6:00 dinner
8:00 snack

Just wondering of I am weird for eating like this!

I'm a real early riser:
4:30 AM Breakfast (it's big enought to last)
10:00 Snack
12:00 PM Lunch
3:30 Snack
6:00 Dinner

I used to be a super grazer-no real set meal times, but this schedule works much better for me.

Mine is a lot like yours, except that I eat my dinner at 6:30 or 7:30 p.m. and my snack around 9pm. Bad, I know, but it's the only way it works for me. Actually, nothing is working today since I'm off the wagon! Ugh!

I do this also..it is what I needed to do to get all of my points in without stuffing myself at only 3 larger meals. I think it helps keep my blood suger more stable throughout the day. I feed my kids like this too and it works well for us.

My schedule is similar to yours. I break it up instead of eating 3 big meals. I couldn't eat that much all at once. But I eat my snack shortly after dinner to avoid eating too late.

don't know if this helps but i've read lots on this issue and had some nutrition lessons from a personal trainer and everyone says more, but small, meals is better.

not only does it stop you feeling hungry so you're less likely to binge but it keeps your blood sugar stay at a steady level throughout the day.

was also told not to eat protein or carbs without the other one, something to do with blood sugar and digestion that I now can't remember. So means that i'm keeping my carbs and protein to the 3 main meals of the day and making all my snacks fruit and vegetables. Seems to be working fine so maybe it will help others too? just a suggestion

my eating pattern is now almost exactly the same as yours and I feel so much better.

yay for finally being healthy!

Thanks for the comment everyone! It's reassuring to know I'm not the only ne eating several times a day!

Before WW I would skip breakfast, and eat a snack at lunch and HUGE dinner - now I am eating through the day and feel lots better!

I am an early riser so like a lot of you I eat early and often, it is easier for me if I have planned my meals and snacks the day(s) before a typical day
up at 5am
breakfast (at work LOL) 7am
9am snack
Noonish lunch
2pm snack
6 or 7 pm dinner
snack before bed
