We all deserve a treat every now and then! If the craving is going to drive you insane, go for it. Just be good for the next little while.

Can you fit popeye's into your plan?
Personally - if I wanted to have fried chicken, I would find the restaurant that sells the absolute best and get it. I wouldn't settle for greasy fast food fried chicken

im a calorie counter... so technically, yes, but its all i could eat today!!! maybe if i just do half portions...
i wish i had the taste buds some people have where they dont like fast food - i'd personally pick a mcdonalds burger of a steak any day!!!

I wouldn't "cheat" to have it,but then I don't believe in the concept of "cheating" with regard to my eating plan.

From their website (http://www.popeyes.com/nutrition.pdf):
1 spicy chicken breast is 360 calories
2 spicy chicken strips are 270 calories
1 regular red beans and rice is 320 calories
1 order of chicken etouffee is 190 calories

I could easily fit a chicken breast for lunch and then just either skip an afternoon snack or go lighter on dinner.

Of course you can have the breast for under 200 cals if you remove the skin and breading, but then what's the point, huh?

.

If I crave something for several days, I'll plan the food into one of my days. The difference is planning ahead and not using this as an excuse to binge and eat everything else you might decide you'd like. And, of course, this is no longer an opportunity to go off plan for a while.

I sometimes have cravings for Mary Brown's fried chicken, and if I want it so badly I'm obsessing over it, I'll have it and move on. No guilt, but I will continue eating healthily the rest of the time. I used to eat Mary Brown's once a week, now it's more like three times a year, so luckily I don't have those cravings very often.

I count calories as well and try to make sure it fits in with the day, but if not, I will allow myself a treat occasionally where I don't go exactly according to plan.
