Default My pictures were stolen from this site!

It was just brought to my attention that my photos were stolen off this site and used on a bodybuilding site to promote body building products.

For reference, here is the site. I have already e-mailed them and asked that they take down the pictures.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/transf166.htm

I wish to have the thread with my pictures erased completely! How can I go about doing that? The link is in my signature.

I feeling violated right now. I'm so appalled!

I have already created a pdf file of the post for my records, in case I need to fight them to take down the photos.

Thanks for your help!

That's horrible! I've temporarily deleted your thread until this is worked out.

Companies like that should be sued for this type of thing. Unfortunately, it's a common marketing scam

I think they removed your link, because I get redirected to someone else's page.

Zenor, how did you find out if I may ask? It's terrible to think that scammers are cruising the site looking for before and afters!

I read in the paper about a woman in Australia that had her pictures online for something unrelated, and learned they were used as "after" photos for a US diet pill ad campaign

This sucks. If they faked your story, how many of the other success stories on their website are fabricated to sell their products?

A friendly 3fc tipped me off. I think they were on the site and recognized that the pictures and story didn't seem to match. So they messaged me asking if it was real or not.

I'm not sure if they wish to be mentioned, but you know who you are. Thanks! You rock!

Hey! I don't mind being mentioned Zenor, but thanks for respecting my privacy.

I don't think bodybuilding.com is responsible for the theft or being shady, but a member of the site. You see, the people who turn in a winning transformation are given a $50.00 credit to use at their store. So I think it was a matter of scamming both you and bodybuilding.com.

You rock too Zenor! I hope to have before and after photos like yours someday soon and would be crushed and infuriated if my hard work was stolen like that.

How awful. Seems like you could complain to the Federal Trade Commission. Wouldn't using someone else's picture be a form of identity theft?

Shortly after I posted the website redirected the page to another, different "transformation" (thankfully.) So if you were looking at the really ripped tan blond, then no, not me.

I guess the site has been having problems with people falsely sending in "their" transformations. I'm not the only one.

If anybody feels uncomfortable with posting their pictures, try using watermarking software. If it were me, I would mark the pictures with the website address I am posting at, so they can't be lifted for another site.

Wow, that is CRAZY! I'm glad things have been resolved.

That said, now I'm dying to see your before and afters, Zenor. Where would I go to find them?

That's a good idea. I will have to try that when my pics get good enough to steal .
