Default I actually ran

So I know that I had told you all about my 1.5 mi run the other day...well...last evening I went to the park and decided I would take a run until I no longer felt like running, just to see how much I could do without pushing myself too hard.

It was a gorgeous evening and I was feeling really good about myself. Well, I was able to do 2.25 mi comfortably without feeling too drained or exhausted. I haven't run that far in years!

It feels really nice to share that accomplishment with you guys

Anyone else getting joy out of doing something that they haven't been physically able to do in a while????

Wow. That's impressive! Good for you.

I wish I could run - I think I'd enjoy it. Unfortunately I'm still at the stage where boobs and fat and loose skin bounce too much. I'm sure I'll get there someday ... but for now running is just painful.

Photochick,

I run with a D-cup! I can recommend some really amazing sports bras. Granted, they're not as sexy as the the pull-over ones (known as compression) and do have hooks and underwire BUT they are comfortable and will suck you in and make you feel like you can do anything! I hated running until a few years ago a friend of mine who is a marathoner introduced me to proper running bras for ladies with the jiggle.

There are also lycra tank tops you can wear under a t-shirt to reduce the jiggle (think Under Armour). My good friend actually runs with a SPANX camisole over her bra and under her tee-shirt.

PM if you want some info!!

Great job!

I bought a new jog bra by Bodywear that has extra 'bounce control' (their term!) and I love it!

I also run in bike shorts to control the thigh jiggle.

That is wonderful!!! I am envious of people who can run, because it is just something I have never been able to do for more than like 3 minutes at a time. My little cousin loves to run and will randomly go on 14 mile runs when he's bored. LOL

What a great post... thank you ReadytoRun... I've been working the c25k program... i did the week one intervals for eight days... and.... on Friday I felt up to trying the week two intervals. I realized afterwards that I'd actually cut the rest time in half so I ran a lot more than I even needed to.

It just feels so good, even though I've got 'jiggle' problems, too.

I just want to do this.

Best wishes to everyone!
