Post It is just going to be one of those days.

My husband's company picnic is today and of course it is at HersheyPark. Yes, home of the great american chocolate bar. And of course now the song they is played throughout the entire park is already going through my head. THe other problem is I swear they pump the smell of fresh chocolate throughout the place. Of course could be because of all the chocolate stores. DH company is providing a lunch which usually does include something I can eat-salad, grilled chicken or pulled pork, and fresh cut fruit salad. However, I just had to share this, while doing some research on new additions and such to the park, I found that under the food section they now list where you can get healthy fare and what is available at each of those restaurants. They discuss everything for light meals, to vegetarian, to heart healthy. I wish more places would provide this information online, especially places like this where I have even had cookies from my kids diaper bag confiscated upon entrance. THey have very strict rules about taking food in and out. So far they only thing I ever got in was baby bottles and formula. They make you open every bag you bring in.

I hear ya--my fiance's company picnic is always at Kings Dominion (amusement park). It's great that Hershey has provided some helpful information for heart healthy foods and such. I have avoided Jeff's compay picnic like the plague simply for fear of not fitting on any rides I can't WAIT to go to an amusement park and go on EVERYTHING without hesitation! I'm fine with avoiding the junk food, especially for the prices they change at those parks! Besides, I'll be too busy riding each roller coaster 10 times to stop and eat

Dear Mrs. O: What a temptation! Chocolate.......I'm drooling here. What a great idea for the eating places to do! I hope you had a great time with your DH and family. I've never been there and would like to visit sometimes.

P.S. Do they frisk you? LOL!!!

I made it though the day with eating only one miniature dark chocolate bar and avoided every store like you wouldn't believe. They even started selling chocolate in the Christmas store in which I like to purchase a yearly commemorative ornament for our tree. It was so hot out that I think I surpassed my needed water intake by noon and yet still was hungry at lunch. The fruit salad was so fresh and good I skipped the salad and just ate pulled pork and fruit salad at lunch. My legs are aching fro the amount of walking we did. There is a Penn State Medical Center nearby and the students there helped create a walking route that is supposed to be three miles and you can see every part of the park so we tried to follow that route. My 3 yo son was asleep in the car before I got out of the puzzle of a parking lot from all the walking but today I am that good kinda sore.
