Default Searching for a thread . . .

Hello everybody!

A few months ago I read a thread about women who started their weight loss journey at 220, lost 50 pounds, and got stuck at 170.

I would LOVE to read this thread again but have had no luck with my search.

Did anybody out there bookmark this thread and if you did, would you mind sharing?

Thanks so much!

Do you remember the posters name or part of the name of the thread or even what forum the thread was in?

I don't remember the poster's name but I believe it was in this section, "Weight Loss Support."

There were a LOT of people that posted in it. They felt 170 was kind of the "witching" number.

Ringing any bells out there?? lol

There was a post about the 170s, I think it was, being the Bermuda Triangle. Bermuda and Triangle as search terms might turn it into less of a needle in a haystack.

There are actually tons of threads about just that.

A great many of us started in the mid-200s (for me it was 237) and then hit a stall in the 170s or thereabouts. It's become a standing joke for many of us. I spent about 4-5 months in the 170s - every once in a while dipping into the 160s and then bouncing right back up.

Me too. 170 is a very common sticking point...I spent 6 months at 168-172, after going from 295 with almost no stops.

I went from 250 to 172 - got stuck for about 6 months, then gained back 30. I panicked the next time I got into the 170s, fearing a plateau, but went right through it. Second time was the charm LOL.

I got stuck at 160 when I was losing weight a few years ago. It seems like a lot of people have a plateau around that weight. Good luck on finding the thread.

I went from 295 to 173 and stalled -- and then started creeping up!

Looks like we've started a new thread!

Thank you everybody! I really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

I'm not going to allow myself to give up at this weight. Even if I'm stuck here for another 4 months!

Oh wow. I missed that thread. And I'm here stuck in the low 170's and I've been in the 170's for months. Of course, I haven't eaten totally on plan all this time. so I can't call it a plateau.
