So DH gave me a beautiful diamond ring back in May from Lundstrom's Jewelers (I'm saying the name in case you have bought stuff from there). I'm a big worrywart, so I also got the 3 year protection plan, which covers everything. I was also told that the protection plan could be renewed every three years for as long as I wanted.
I found out yesterday they're going bankrupt and are closing all of their stores. I called the 800 number they gave me and the guy was so apathetic!!! Now, if something goes wrong with my ring, I have to mail it to God knows where with detailed instructions and they'll mail it back to me in several weeks. And there's no way to renew the protection plan. I told the guy I should have just flushed the money down the toilet, you know?
I ask to speak to a supervisor because the guy's attitude is very lackluster, and he says there aren't any...at all! He swears up and down that one will call me within 3 hours, but I doubt it.
Guys, I'm so frustrated! I have severe nickel allergies and this was one of the few stores that had jewelry I could wear. Plus, I work with little kids and I know something is going to happen to it, like losing a stone, or scratching it, or even just needing a resizing or rhodium dip.
AAUURRRGGGHHH!!!!
