I feel like I am in a rut here. My weight loss was going so smoothly and now it seems to be slowing down... What can I do to start losing those 2-3lbs
a week again?
I am new to this group and I just want to thank all of you for your reponses

If you're still losing at all then, believe me, your weight loss is going smoothly.

2-3lbs a week is actually quite a bit at a time. Most people "slow down" at some point. 1-2 lbs a week is a healthy amount to lose. If you're losing about that? Then don't change a thing. Just keep doing what you're doing.

If you're losing .2 a week. Either that's the rate at which your body wants to lose, or perhaps it's time to take a look at what you're eating and how often you're exercising.

It's pretty normal for weight loss to slow down. About 1lb a week is average for many people especially once you have lost the first half of weight. As long as you're losing at a steady rate you have nothing to worry about, just try to stay positive and well done so far on your current loss

I get frustrated when my massive weekly losses begin to slow down, but I take stock of my week and adjust. I look at it as it's still a loss (and ANY loss is better than a gain!) Sometimes I'll add another workout in if my schedule allows or do some extra walking or other intense physical activity (swimming has been my favorite this summer). I also pay extra attention to my calories and am extra extra careful not to go over. Usually that gets me back on track.
