Angry stuck in a 3 week rut!!

I'm so mad!! I've been at 149 for the last 3 weeks. About a week ago I started tracking my calories on The Daily Plate and with the exception of Saturday (I went to a wedding) I've stayed within my calorie goals. The two weeks before that I even tried calorie cycling. So why hasn't the scale budged!?!? Not just the scale - I even went to the tape measure. Nothing!

Sometimes our bodies take their sweet time adjusting to weight loss. Sometimes you reach a weight and your body says "hey, this is cool, I think I'll stay here for a while." meanwhile, your tearing your hair out in frusteration. I know that feeling. I just had it a few weeks ago. What I did was became diligent about measuring and weighing all my food to make sure I wasn't sabataging myself with hidden calories and I stepped up my cardio from three nights a week to 4 nights a week and added some strength training. You didn't mention if you were working out regularly or not.

I was eating around 1400 calories a day until this week. I'm on vacation and haven't been exercising nearly as much as usual so I brought my calorie intake down to 1200.

And it still hasn't effected your weight? Sounds to me like your body is in maintenance mode. If this is the case if you stick to your plan your body will start losing again when it's ready. Or - you could try zig zagging your calories, but only do that if you know you can definitely stick to plan or it can go horribly wrong.

Wow... I know what you mean. All this month, and half of last I have been stuck at 165/170. I've tried more exercise, less calories, more calories, less exercise... Nothing. Lol. I even added more veggies. But I look at it this way. At least I'm not gaining! Good luck and hopefully we will both have a break soon!

Yes, at least we're not gaining! I bought the Yoga Booty Ballet videos today to switch things up a little when I get home, maybe that'll help.
