Maybe don't log (or count calories) until the end of the day and see if you're still on track. Or, for several days, just jot down the foods. Then, sit down and retroactively see how you did those days. If you did well, try it for a week. If that goes well, maybe try a pop quiz on yourself every now and again. Find a way that you don't control to figure when to quiz yourself. Say, when Mom's daily email arrives before your first 3FC notice or whatever. Then, you won't be inclined to cheat and only check days on which you think you did well.
