Default Carbonated water ??

Do you retain water when you drink sparkling water?? I don't drink diet soda because of the sodium but the water is sugar free and sodium free and calorie free..

I get a craving for cabonated beverages just wondering if these are okay because if I drank a can or 2 of diet pepsi I retain like mad.

Thanks!

Sparkling water or seltzer water that have no sodium won't cause water retention. I drink this stuff all the time! There are no artificial sweeteners in the water I drink, so not sure if that would be a factor.

Even though it doesn't have sodium, it has Co2....which makes me bloaty and gassy....although not for long like sodium.

There's lots of things in Diet Coke that aren't "food". Probably everything in Diet Coke. I quit drinking it but very occasionally. But to put it in perspective, a can of Diet Coke as 40 mg sodium, and a glass of milk has about 125 mg sodium.

I also feel bloated with diet beverages which is another reason why I rarely drink them.
