good question!!!!! sugar alcohols are sweeteners that are supposed to be absorbed more slowly than regular sugar. the FDA lets them be considered as NOT CARBS. so, let the CARB COUNT be your guide. BUT, please be aware of a couple of things about sugar alcohols -
- some people don't lose weight if they eat them regularly.
- some people WILL DUMP on these things
- other people will get very miserable GI side effects that send them running into the bathroom and staying
there -if you get my meaning!
so, a little is probably fine. a lot probably isn't.
