Great article. I am definitely guilty of #9 "The Carb Creep"!!!
PS- my boyfriend is from Pittsburgh, and has made me a fan of the Pens. I can clearly see their talent and finesse on the ice compared to other teams, especially my hometown Flyers, who shockingly play much dirtier than other teams. GO PENS!

Hey Michelle
My DBF is from Pittsburgh too! I've become a Steelers fan...a Pens fan...and I'll even admit to being a bit of a Pirates fan (although the YANKEES are #1 for me!!) but, I can tell you, I didn't even know what football or hockey even were until I met DBF The things we do for those we love!!
Michelle-I'm originally from the Philly area and am still an Eagles fan even though I now live in Saints territory. Even have my Brian Westbrook jersey.
JerseyGyrl, I didn't even know what hockey was until I met my DBF, and now I am hooked. It's so ADD, lol. I love just staring at the screen watching the puck, and anyone can score at any moment. We are having a blast watching the playoffs!! DBF is afraid to walk around here with his Pens hat on... and he's a big guy, 6'6''. I told him he has a right to be afraid, lol, b/c Philly fans get mean! But yeah I seriously love the Pens now! I don't know what it is about Pittsburgh teams that draw you in...
Thanks for that. I'm glad I got a chance to read it before letting myself make those mistakes. I esp appreciate the last mistake, lack of exercise. It's hard for me to make time for working out because I am an all or nothing type of person; either 80 minutes or zip. But I'm going to start incorporating half an hour before class each morning.
Thanks for the link! Today is day one of my low carb diet, and being a Vegetarian, I'm finding it SO difficult already, but I've tried every other diet and in 4 months, only lost 5lb so far (I'm back up in the mid 140s). I'll keep this article handy so I remember. I think my problem is I'm a Veggie, so it's obviously harder as I get probably 80% of my food from carbs.
We actually had a vegan who was posting here for awhile. Up in the other reduced carb diet section, she had a thread where she posted a lot of her menus. It might give you some ideas.
Yep! For 6 months straight, I did it. I just now made a deviation, as the summer fruits were calling me. If I can help at all, let me know. It should be a BREEZE to work it as a vegetarian, really. It was pretty delicious as a vegan. Alas, the FRUIT called me! I may return to it soon. Just taking a break.
Thanks. I was looking through the recipes, definitely helps because all I have right now is salad, cheese, eggs, green beans, and my veggie dogs (1g of carbs without the bun of course). I made it through day 1 with 25g. It was the baclava that pushed me over. Being Greek, I'm a sucker for them!
