Talking Funny things you've done in the name of weight loss!

I went to my 2nd Weight Watchers meeting (this time around, lol) this morning and before I went, I did something that made my husband actually laugh outloud! To me, it was logical; to him, it was hilarious.

So I...um...weighed my clothing on our food scale so I could find the lightest clothing for my weigh-in. I thought I was just being practical!!

What have YOU done that others might find funny?

Lunula, today was my second WW meeting too! And of course I picked out my lightest jeans and t-shirt for the weigh-in. I think it worked --I was 6.4 pounds down! I know that can't just be the diet working!

I weighed my clothes before my first prenatal appointment and wear the same ones every time so the scale only goes up a little. Does this count, even though I'm not losing right now?

I've also weighed my clothing (I just get on the scale naked, holding the clothing I'm thinking of weighing). I also tend to think crazy when choosing what I'm going to eat on weigh-in day (because my TOPS weigh-in is at 5pm). For example, I tend to eat foods that have less water in them, so (in my mind) there's less chance of the weight of the food being reflected on the scale.

I'm learning to be less crazy, but 36-year old habits are hard to break.

I'm part of the "always wear the same thing for every weigh-in" club. Of course, after a while, they will start to wonder if you own any other clothes.

I've weighed my clothes before, too... -_-
I've also moved the scale to different tiles to see if it changes my weight.

I exhale really hard when I step on the scale. As if air is going to make a huge difference! And I won't weigh with wet hair, heavens no!

I've taken my glasses and jewelry off on my home scales, as if their going to weigh that much. I won't wear jeans to weigh in at WW, only a t-shirt and shorts or lightweight mesh capris like you wear at the gym. If I'm a little on the constipated side, I always take something to make sure I'm a little "cleaned out" before weigh in day. Sometimes that makes a huge difference!

I always wear the same clothes too But other than that nothing really, I don't worry about what I eat/drink on the day because I figure if it does make a change this week it won't be much, and it will even out next week.

I don't drink any water in the morning before weighing. So I basically let myself dehydrate for about 10 minute in the name of the scale.

Also, I have seriously considered how much my hair weighs, now that I wear it long.

Oh . . . I definitely do not get weighed with wet hair; and I do have to make sure that the scale hasn't gotten moved from it's very favourite spot on the floor.

Oh ANNE . . . please don't make a habit of that 'little something' . . .

I actually took off my heavy denim skirt at a WW weigh-in! It was all women and I did have on a half slip. Denim is heavy!

Count me in on the weighing my clothing club! I'm not a WW member, but every time I have a doctor's appointment, I weigh my clothing and make sure I'm wearing the lightest ensemble possible.

Other funny things I've done:

-Eat something halfway, throw the rest in the trash, bury it under everything else, then pour Comet over it

-When I got my percent body fat measured, I ate very sparingly with as little sodium as possible and drank an abundance of water the day before. Then, I stopped drinking water around two hours before the time I got it measured. The results were quite favorable
