Thank you all. I just saw the thread today! On the 19th we drove down to my parents home in central IL, and spent the week with them. We just got home today. I logged on a couple times, but didn't see this thread.
I had an absolute wonderful time, and didn't gain any weight at all. I took my scale down with me (and probably weighed myself 4 times a day). It got a little obsessive, but I met my goal of a non-gain vacation. The highlight of the trip was the time spent with my two nephews (who have a baby brother on the way). We took them to Horton Hears a Who.
I also got my MP3 player I'd promised myself for getting under 350 lbs.
It was a great trip. I definitely am resolved to always take my scale on vacation. I thought it might be a little depressing (and it was the day after the first restaurant meal because of the sodium and water retention), but with a little extra water drinking, I was fine. The funny thing is that we did a lot of snacking and treat-meals, but I went out of my way not to eat anything that I didn't REALLY want to eat, and I think that paid off most of all.
