Default Hair today, gone tomorrow!

Well, I started to notice some hair loss. I wacked off my shoulder one-length hair about two months ago because it was lifeless. And yesterday this 56 y/o woman got herself a pixie! My nose is getting bigger and bigger looking! I have cowlicks, one side grows forward, one side grows back, I have a natural part in the middle and the top grows forward. Does the word PRODUCTS come to mind. I would like to blow dry it to fluff it up but, afraid I look like a dandelion gone to seed in the wind and there will be white hairs all over the bathroom! I'm trying to up my protein and taking two biotin, so maybe it will grow back in faster. The bald shar-pei thing comes to mind a lot. But, since I'm moving faster these days, I don't have a hair on my clothes. I usually sweep twice a day, because of the three dogs, but now mostly it if because of me!! LOL!!

Don't panic.....it will stop. Mine started at the 5th month (after surgery) and ended around the 9th or 10th month... I thought I was gonna go bald. It does come back and my doc said save your money, no product on the market is going to help. IMHO, just keep your protein up and take your vitamins....I also believe Omega 3,6,9 oils help.

Thanks Leenie. I'm not a vain person, but the hairloss has been something that I have been dreading. So that means I'm really vain. LOL!!! I'm taking 1200mg omegas and a skin, nail, hair vit. that has a lot of the Vit. Bs in it. I lost a 100 lbs. once on a low to no fat diet and had a lot of hair loss then and it didn't come back in very well, so my hair is thin on top to begin with. My hair stylist has an aunt and two cousins who had had wls surgery, and she felt she had to tell me all their horror stories. One cousin even died. So that really set my mood for the pixie cut!!!! Over on OH some one told a joke about a woman who woke up with only 3 hairs on her head. So she decide that morning that she would braid them. The next morning she only had two hairs; so she parted it down the middle. The next morning she woke up bald and what did she say? "Well, I guess I won't have to do my hair this morning!" LOL!!! That is the attitude I need to have right now.

I have been dreading the hair loss thing too, my hair is thin already! but I have to say.....

I love HATS!!

I own several nice winter black hats and some sweet straw hats for summer and I plan to buy some fancy easter hats come March!

I won't lose my hair without a fight but in the mean time, I'm covering it up!

Default Hats UMMMMM!

My favorite is a baseball cap with OHIO STATE on the front of it. And my Cleveland Indians visor. Visor...Cap...umm if I'm going to sunburn the top of my balding head, I'd better choose the baseball cap. I think that I can glue some artificial flowers on it so that I can wear it to church!!! LOL!!!

UGH!!! I never heard of the hairloss thing. Oh My God! My hair is very thin and fine as it is. I was hoping it would get better after surgery. My DD shaved her head a few years ago and it came back in very nicely-i was thinking about doing the same thing to see if it help, but I don't have enough time in the summer to grow it back to a decent length and all my adolescent students would laugh.

I got bad hair genes along with the fat genes. Sigh.

gotta tell you all that, although my hair did indeed fall out, especially in the front, it grew back THICKER and healthier. must have been all that protein!

so, don't despair - it's temporary for just about all of us. honest!
