Default UPDATE on me

Well girls.....looks like my running routine is over for a while.

I've been having, what I THOUGHT, were asthma issues for the past month. I continued to run anyway, but ended up hurting my lungs more.

Went to the pulmonologist last night, and it turns out I have a partially collapsed right lung, pleuresy, and I'm at the tail end of some kind of virus. So the doc doesn't want me running for the next two weeks.

I don't know if I'll be able to finish my 35 mile goal for the month
I'm at 12.5/35 as of right now. I am still proud of my effort so far, I have worked really hard, and I cried so much about this. Hopefully I'll be better soon and back on the treadmill.

OMG Fluffy: The last thing you need to worry about is making the 35 mile goal. Take care of yourself. This could have turned into something really serious. Thank goodness you went to the DR. Take Care and try to take it easy. I'm sending up a prayer for you.

Oh my, been there, done that. I ended up in the hospital from a pleural effusion myself a couple of years ago. Take care of yourself (ie. listen to the doctor).

Honey, may I say that though your health should be your main focus and the goal of 35 in the background...12.5 miles is nothing to sneeze at!

Standing from my view, you are amazing!

My mother called any pain in the chest peulirecy and had us hanging over a pan of boiling campher water with a towel over our heads! Yes, she was/is a hippy...I still can't smell that smell without breaking into a sweat!

I do like that hot tea she gave us afterwards, I still drink that when I'm feeling sick.

You get to feeling better soon or I will send my mother over there...trust me, you don't want that!

whew!!! good thing this is TEMPORARY!!!!!! listen to your doc. take it easy. and ask him if you can WALK instead of run. that way, you'll get closer to your goal, and you'll feel better about yourself.

please PLEASE be careful!!!!!

Thanks girls......I'm going to resume WALKING on the treadmill probably tomorrow or Saturday. But no running or jogging yet

I really want to be past this before I start pushing myself.

Merry---in response to your question, my surgery was July 18, 2005!

Thanks for all the well-wishes and advice!!!!
