Just curious - does anyone use their activity points? I'm allowed 24 points each day and I am currently earning 4 activity points per day. I guess I just wonder if I will hinder my results either way if I use them or not. Any thoughts?
I do use my APs, I'm down to 22 pts. Happy to be in the 160s but hate losing that pt.
I write at the bottom of my tracker (when I'm tracking, which is every day so far this year!) the APs I earned and Flex used. It kind of sums up the day for me. Also, once I sum up, I'm done eating.
I'll be the first to admit, I have a hard time staying within my daily pts. I've never had that problem of not being able to get them in.
You have the right idea, Deb, you have to experiment a bit and see what works best for you.
I use my Activity Points, too. At this time of year, I need to be more careful about staying within my points target, because I don't get as much activity as when I can be outside.
I don't use my activity points. I feel like I will start pigging out on those extra points. I also use most of my flex points. But then again I just started so things might change!
I just started to use mine. But remember you can only eat back 4 activity points a day. And be sure that you are getting a good count on the number you earn you might earn one point but only burn 40 calories you can eat back that one point but you dont want to eat back more calories than you burned.
If you look at how many activity points you earn during the week, it's probably less than the flex points. I lose weight faster if I just eat my AP's and not the FP's. As you get closer to goal, you'll get fewer points so it's a real incentive to work out hard to get those extra points in. - Theresa
I use my APs too. Sometimes, if I earn say 4-5 APs in a day I will use all, but sometimes I will only use 3. I also use my extra flex points - that's what they are there for
It is good to be using those extra points. If you can lose weight eating 22 points a day AND you can lose weight eating 27 points a day, why not eat the 27? The reason WW works is because of the flexibility. If you aren't using your flex points at all, give it a try (maybe slowly at first) and see how it turns out!
As crazy as it sounds, I am having a hard time eating my daily points...all the water I am now drinking leaves me with no room for food...although, I did splurge and use some of my weekly points to have buffalo wings with the family Saturday night...anyhow, I can't imagine having the weekly points, plus AP to use as well...but then, I am only in week 2, so I shouldn't even 'know' about them yet...LOL!
I, for one, am confused by all of this "which points to eat and which not" guesswork. I suppose I just haven't been on WW long enough to understand how my body reacts. Over the weekend, I started using some of my activity points and even a few of my flex points. Today, at weigh in, I only lost .8 of a lb. That really bothers me since I pulled a 6lb weight loss the first week and a 4 lb loss the second week. Plus my TOM started this morning at weigh in. Nice huh? I don't know what to think right now. Use APs? Not use APs? Use Flex pts? Not use flex pts? Is it just the TOM screwing things up???? *pulling my hair out*
