Default New Here!

Hi Everyone!

I am new here, looking for some support in my weight loss journey. I am a stay at home mom to two boys, ages 2 and 2 months. Before I got pregnant with my second, I started counting my calories and lost about 30 lbs. I didn't gain anything in my pregnancy until the very end...and then I gained about 30. I would like to calorie count again, since it seemed to work for me. I have two lovely kids that need their mommy to be alive and healthy, so it is time to do something!

You can do it! LOL, I only have one 7 month old and lets just say that I gained "too much" weight while pregnant. This site is very motivating and there is so much support! Go for it!

Hi welcome! I am also doing the calorie thing. I tried atkins for about a week, and decided it wasn't worth it. The only way I've ever lost was to count the calories and exercise. I had my 4th baby 8 months ago, so I too am trying to lose that pregnancy weight, and the one before that one,...and the one before that one....you get the idea!!!

Default New also, from Michigan

Hi, I am real new here. I have been surfing through all the threads, and am now real confused. There is a lot here!! Not sure I'll ever find my way back to this post even. I am a christian mom of 4 great kids, trying to lose weight for the umpteenth time. Is that really how you spell that:anyway, I am looking for some support, I am trying the Wendie plan, still, after all these years, the hardest thing I find is cooking for a family. I love veggies, would probably be somewhat of a vegetarian if I were single, but alas, I have family, and really don't want to cook them something, then something else for me. Even as I type this, it doesn't sound hard, but when I go to actually plan a meal, I draw a blank. Does anyone have any suggestions or resources. Thanks so much, and I look forward to hopefully finding this post again.

Hey Suzanne -

Wendie Plan - isn't that Weight Watchers? They have a pretty active forum here, too. Try this link

For tons of great vegetarian ideas - try Vegetarian chicks or Veggie Challenged

Lots of recipes and ideas all over the place. Surf around, ask questions and
