Talking Sugar free bread?

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy whole wheat bread with none or very little sugar. I'm looking for it with honey/sugar listed as the 5th ingredient or later and I can't find that.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

My recommendation is The Baker bread although it may be an east coast only bread. Just read labels at every grocery store until you find one you like, that is basically what I did.

I believe Mrs. Baird's makes a sugar free whole wheat bread that I've purchased at the local WalMart store. Course that may vary by your location but hope you can find it. DH is diabetic and it is a good bread.

Dang... well I didn't see it at the super Walmart. I'll have to look harder. I suppose it would help to leave the little ones at home so I can look better rather than reign them from the snack cakes section. hehe Thanks

There is a thing called "Man's Bread" sold at Healthfood stores which is really great, has lots of fiber, is low carb and, I think, contains very little sugar. I'm not sure of the brand, though.

ETA: I just found the brand and the nutrition info at Dailyplate: http://www.thedailyplate.com/nutriti...dow/mens-bread 0g's of sugar! (and it tastes VERY good, btw)

The yeast eats the sugar. If you're looking at yeast breads, I'm not sure much is left in the bread as sugar by the time the bread is made.

I think it's hard to find it in the 5th ingredients or greater, because there aren't many ingredients in bread-lol!!
My bread says it has 1 gram of sugar in a 28 gram serving size. That doesn't seem like much to me
