ZigZag, Shifting, Wendie, Every other day DIET
Me and hubby have lost a ton of weight... thank God!
But we have stalled. We dropeed our maintainace calories by 1000 a day, and lost steady for months. He stalled first, now i have. For thanksgiving we decided to eat what we wanted... i still counted the cals the best i could and we were right at maintanance or a hair lower. We kept on till sunday ( our 12 year wedding aniversary)
We decided to up them this past weekend, in hope of fooling our bodies... so then monday start fresh. We decided to try a zigzag, shifting.... whatever diet this round. I have almost 40lbs to go... he likes almost 20.
I found a website that calculates the cals you need to eat to zig zag....
Has anyone had any luck with this? I read you can loose fast with this .... that would be nice!

Here are a few threads on zig zagging.
I cycle my calories kind of unintentionally...some days are less controlled than others.
Are you doing any kind of exercise? Adding exercise to a sensible eating plan can do wonders to "shake things up" as well. Not to mention the health benefits of a little cardio and weight training.

Why... I didn't know that! So, we'll search on zagging... Or, chick in the hat, you could copy the URLs of the links... probably too much trouble, though.

I've been cycling my calories for over 5 months now and I'm down to 265.4lbs as of today from 319lbs. I average 1829/calories a day, plus cardio/strength training.
Sun: 1800
Mon: 2000
Tue: 1400
Wed: 2800
Thu: 1200
Fri: 1500
Sat: 2100
And I take a free day every 2 weeks in place of the 2800 calorie day and eat anything I want, as much as I want without counting calories and get right back on track the next day.
Calorie cycling mimics life and as I get to a lower weight, my burn rate might be less but I will still be eating the same amount; I'm not going to lower my calories like most do as they get to a lower weight. I believe in eating at or close to your target calories from day one and eventually you will arrive there, even if it takes longer. I'm in no hurry. I like my diet so much that I plan to be on it forever.
I keep my diet blog with my daily menus @ j3nn.net if anyone wants to peak at my calorie cycling and what I eat.
