I love it even at room temperature.

You can make a great chocolate shake with this by adding 1 cup LF plain or vanilla yogurt. I read this long before I tried it (it sounded kind of strange), and wish I hadn't waited. It's great. You can get creative and add other flavors yogurt like cappaccino, strawberry, etc. You can thicken it up by adding frozen FF Cool Whip (count the points) or freeze the yogurt slightly before mixing. They also make a creme soda flavor that's good. Hope you'll try it!

I used to like making a fake "egg cream" out of this by mixing cold Canfield's with skim milk (about half and half). If you think that sounds gross, just think of it along the lines of a root beer float (soda & dairy)

Thanks, gals,

I will try both of these variations.

I wonder where they got the term egg creme for this?

I find the Canfields as well as a store brand in a couple of my local supermarkets. They aren't always easy to find, but I keep an eye out for them. Diet Root Beer is easier to find and also good for similar drinks. I like to make a RB float with diet RB and 1/2 cup of FF/LF frozen yogurt or ice cream or sorbet (FF Hagen Daas Choc. sorbet is yummy) for 2 pts.

I also find at some local groceries. I think I've found at Kroger. I agree they put these in weird places... usually near the yahoo, rootbeer, and other "specialty" canned drinks. Ask if you can't find.

I used to find this product at Waldbaums here in NYC, but they are no longer is business and have not seen Canfield's in any other supermarket. Miss making those "egg creams".
