Default A good instant coffee???

Hello all

I'm a coffee lover, but I'm can't brew fresh coffee three times a day just to fulfill my single-cup cravings. Can anyone recommend a good instant coffee? It doesn't have to be caffeinated, it could be decaf as well. Are there any users that can recommend one, especially an acid neutralized one? Thanks in advance

Question Tried one cup coffee maker?

Hi veggielover,

Have you tried the one cup coffee makers? I use my Black and Decker all the time - every cup is fresh. Before I had that, I used a one cup drip gizmo that sat over the cup; it worked well also.

May the Red Sox show their stuff tonight !!!!

I use Folger's -- it's really good. I've tried Taster's Choice too, and I like Folger's a lot better.

I don't know about its acid neutrality though.

I have to go along with Bill's suggestion . . . afraid I've never met an instant coffee I liked . . . those single cup drip thingees are great. Almost as fast as instant and a lot better.

I third the single cup makers. We have one here at work and people just buy their own pods for the machine. Its fresh and it tastes so much better than instant coffee. I think it can be cheaper than instant coffee as well (depending on the brands). I got a box of 18 pods at Christmas Tree Shop for only $1.

You could also buy one of those thermal carafes and make just one pot in the morning and store the coffee you don't drink right away in the carafe. I don't know how long carafes keep coffee hot and fresh, but it might be worth a go. Instant coffee isn't a good thing!

thank you guys and gals! Actually, I JUST got this awesomely cute SINGLE SERVING french coffee press! It's about 7 inches tall, enough for 12 oz of coffee , fresh brewed. A little lo-tech, but very very cute on the table and light on the wallet!
