Mornin' All!
GG, are you going garage saling, or having one? Enjoy!
It's cold here this AM...just about time to kick the heat on for the season! Came close last night, but we just cuddled into the blankets instead. Got the sweats on this AM and the boys dressed in long sleeves and pants!
Gotta get out and exercise (clean/pack!) today to keep warm!

Alicia, Elder-Beermans is mainly in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. It is part of the Bon Ton Corporation which also owns Carson Perrie Scott, Parisian, Hersbergers, Bon-Ton, and a couple of others that I cant remember off the top of my head. It is a department store (kinda like Macys).
Later all, have to pay some bills and then get ready for a fun filled day at work.

Hello Guys. Yup, it's a cold morning here! Brrr. The sweats feel good today. We are planning a lazy day of nothing. DH and the kids have been sick and he wants to hang around the house to chill. Sounds good to me too!
Kerry: Sorry about your living situation. I hope something turns up soon. :hugs: to you.
GG: Have fun at the garage sale. The ones we have are always BORING!! Hardly anyone shows up.
Whew, I need to tend the baby. Have a great Saturday!

laurie - i've always wanted to do the dance dance dance revolution....i don't have any psp to do it...but i'm tempted to buy it just for that LOL. I've heard its great workout. hope you feel better
garage sale was ok. not a bunch of ppl showed up....but we did end up making just over $100 (after the moey spent for advertisement). So i guess it was better than nothing...but was hoping we'd get a bunch more sold. There were a few larger ticket items (ie a brand new bedspread) that we wouldn't budge on price..so we are trying to sell it on craig's list. So we'l see if we make just a bit more. Tring to ge some more money to help get some house stuff we need. other than than...nothing really exciting. we ran a bunch of errands this afternoon..including taking the remaining stuff from the garage sale to goodwill. Tonight, going to a bmw club get together at a dealership..dh is dragging me along. I don't have the heart to say no. Not really sure what is going to happen...but they are providing dinner...so its free food right LOL

Ya I love it. We have a xbox 360 and a wii. I do the wii tennis and boxing all the time and love DDR. I dont think I really count it as "working out" but it is a fun and great activity and is something that just gives you a little extra push. I know people have lost weight doing this. I do sweat a little but it doesnt really feel like a hard workout (though maybe Im doing it less intense than other people).

Hi everybody! It's a beautiful day here today. Started out in the 50's this morning, but now it is in the upper 70's and sunny. I was hoping to get a lot done around my house today, but I haven't gotten much done so far. I just got a new set of workout videos and I am about to go and try them out. Then I really have to get busy on my laundry & dishes. Not really the way I want to spend my Saturday, but it's got to be done.

Hey all!
Karen, thanks for the tip on the Kale. Def. going to give that a try this week.
GG..sounds like you did pretty well on your sale!! WE had one a few weeks ago, made 180.00, but 75.00 of that was two A/C units, so about the same as you. THe kids made 21.00 on their lemonade/kool-aid/cupcake/ krispy treat stand. Lucky for them I offered to bake. Threated to take some of the profits, though (hehe!)
HOpe you are all having a lovely weekend. Took the kids to Country Junction Pocono pumpkin fest today...it was okay, not really worth the 1 1/2 hr. drive, but I got to see my sis & her baby cause they live up there. Kids had fun, though.
Off to make a pumpkin roll & baked ziti for tomorrow. Having some friends over for the Eagles game. HOpefully they will kick some butt!!
Later, all!
Pam

Karen you have been doing lots of running around, was it good to stay home? did you get some rest?
Alicia what is going on w/DH job?
Sheila how are you doing? have not seen you in a few days
Well MiL's surgery went very well, thank G-d! she came home the same day Thursday afternoon. Feeling great! DH was just exhausted. I met them at the hospital around 9:30, DFIL really appreciates when we around, it is nice thought. Pam NO I am nothing special, I am not quite the DIL/wife it is just nice to have good in laws and a great husband and he is an only child, so I feel like I am responsible to make sure they are Ok I love them dearly yes I was very tired after all the cooking and doing so many things in one day, but I don't mind it at all, they have ALWAYS been very nice to me, from the day we met they have been great (wow almost 14 yrs) and they are in they are 82 yrs old.
Friday I didn't even get to the computer, I had a very relaxing day, I went to the knitting shop I go to every Friday and I sat there and knitted all day, chatted w/all the ladies, we are starting to know each other pretty well, we had a little celebration for one of the ladies there she turned 71, she is by far the oldest in the group, but we love her! I came home around 2:30 to wait for Sean to come home from school. And the rest of the day was just very lazy, Sean went to bed at 7:30 PM DH and I spent a little time together and by 8:30 PM I was in bed! I was really tired. I didn't get out of bed till 10 AM today. DH was very kind to let me sleep in. It was a very lazy day too, we didn't even get dressed till about 4:30 and that was just because we promised Sean to take him shopping for his Halloween custom. We went out for dinner and I am back in my PJ's and ready for bed again! LOL. Tomorrow we are going to go see my in-laws, we may take them out for lunch, if MIL is up to it.
I got to go,
I will check back tomorrow!
Hanna

welcome kelton...this is the daily thread (well for the wkend)..
Hannah - you are right...it was $100. We mostly advertised in free places and then spent about 16$ on signs etc. To make it better..looks like we already got our old computer sold that we put on craig's list. So that makes another $150. We're trying to get some moneies together to get a guest bed...so we'll see.
p-hope the eagles win....i'm not as big into pro football as college...so i'll root for whoever you want me too LMAO
alright all..dh and i are going to take the mutt up the mountain this am...check back later!
hey to every one else...hope everyone has a beautiful sunday am.

I worked yesterday but thankfully have today off. Yesterday was day five and tomorrow starts 9 days strait. Ugg.
Hanna and Alicia, Bon Ton stores are mainly on the east coast. That is probably why you haven't heard of them. Visit the website: www.bonton.com that way you will get a feel for what the store is like.
I feel like it is going to be a lazy day today.
GG, You also need to root for the Bengals and the Brownies. (Cincy and Cleveland). not that they will win mind you.
