The center told me that I can have an extra cup of green veggies. She said that some people can overdue the veggies. I don't see how that would break a person.
Out of everything that we can eat that would probably be about the only thing that I would let myself go over on. I would not do it on a regular basis either. I would also not do it if I had not eaten all of my allowed food for the day either. I am really learning that the food in the proper combinations really works. If you are getting hungry often your body might be bored with the options you are giving it and you might want to spice up your menu some. I know that is a topic that has been talked about on here regularly. The more variety you give your body the more it will like what you are doing and in return you will like what it is doing.
Veggies have often saved my day !!! Careful what you chose....carrots should be limited, cause they have lots of sugar... lettuce and celery are almost pur water...so go for these even though they aren't very exciting!
I always had as much lettuce as I wanted... I tried cutting back to just the listed portions when one counselor suggested it might break a plateau (made no difference whatsoever though). Really a cup of lettuce is 10 calories. That is not going to make or break your diet. I also was often over on green beans and celery. It got me through some times when I was really hungry and needed something extra.
