Morning Everyone,
Roadrunner I know how you feel. After having the whole summer off and sleeping in until 9:30 or 10, sure was hard getting up at 6 this morning. But I did and I am ready as I will ever be for the first day of school with my students.
I must confess I didn't eat the greatest over the weekend. Went to three parties and didn't have a lot of healthy food choices. But yesterday I started to eat healthy again. So I am hoping that I will not fall off the bandwagon again like I did.
Hope you all have a wonderful day! I will be sure to check back in with you all later.
Take care,
Kerry

Hey everyone

I hear ya!! But you know I got to go to Riverton yesterday just me. It was kind of nice. I even stopped by the casino and seen my folks they went there so I put a 20 in and won 100. I am not a big gambler at all.

I have a busy week this week.

check in later

Good Morning!!! So, Im back at working out after taking yesterday off. I felt a little sore yesterday so I decided to take off the day and I felt sooo much better about my workout this morning. It actually felt GOOD! Can you believe it? I HATE exercise and now I couldnt stand missing yesterday (wanted to go downstairs to our "gym" and workout sooo much- even though I know I needed my rest), and today actually enjoyed it. I dont think I have ever felt this way. It is soooo true that if you just keep it up you will start to love it. I dont know if I ever really believed that. Seemed like a bunch of hooey to me. But now I can see it. I used to work out playing sports on HS and then in college I ran so I have been in good shape before but I know I never LIKED working out. I just liked playing sports and being with my friends. I ran because my roommate ran. This really feels different. I cant explain it. When I was on my bike this morning, I was pushing myself and sweating and felt a certain happiness or satisfaction. Anyone else feeling this way?

Laurie: I am not feeling that way at this point but I know exactly what you are feeling because I used to spend 18-22 hours a week in the gym. Keep it up just do it moderation. I think I burned out. I was there so much that I just got sick one day and quit after 2 years of working out like that. Great job! You have given me some much needed motivation.

wooooooohoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! okay...sorry but a bit excited this am. I weighed myself this week and i'm down another 3 lbs. Its a little more than i normally aim for (trying 1-2 per week). But i'm still very excited. I've been working oh so hard. So it makes it 10 lbs from my initial start way back when...bur really its 6 lbs since i've move to atlanta. I'm stoked. I need to keep up the hard work. YEA Me...sorry needed to give myself a pat on the back. :b roc: lol okay...all the guys had to come out and dance with me. Now i'm done celelbrating. today is my day off. We have someone coming this am for a physical for life insurance...so i'm starving but can't eat until 10.30..ughhh. Then dh and i will take the bikes out tonight after his class...so i think it will be a great day.

Welcome thinjen to our group...we are a friendly bunch that really like to help and support each other

goddess - glad you got to have some fun with dh. I love to jet ski...its an awsome thing to do. Too bad about jessica...but i think no matter how good of a parent you are...sometimes your kids will fail....its a sad thing...but you really did try to raise her right.

rr - morning..ughh i can't imagine 4 am...yuckie!

laurie - isn't it great when you start to love exercise. I think you develop an addiction to the endorphins and the way you feel. I love working out...still hate to go to a gym but i've found other exercises i love

morning sheila and kar...alright now..everyone get motivated and lets do this thing. See ya later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GG, THAT IS SOOO AWESOME!! Congrats on the 3 lb loss. It is soo great to have that payoff from all the hard work. Have you been taking measurements too? I just started a week ago and taking hips, thighs, arms, stomach and breasts. I lost 5" total in a week. Another way to get excited and encouraged for all your hard work.

Mornin' All!

GG, CONGRATS!!!!!

Jenn, What is BL? Is that the same as BFL (body for life)?

Laurie, congrats on the 5" and getting the exercise in!!!

As for TJ's, I haven't been there in a long time, but I find them hit & miss on pricing around here. They do have some yummy stuff though.

Good Morning all!

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend. Way to go on all the weight loss! I am proud of you guys! I did real well until yesterday. I just had a bad eating day and felt like crap about it all night. But I kicked myself this morning and got back to it. I didn't weigh myself because I didn't want to see the damage, but I am still aiming for a 2 pound loss this week. Other than that, just back to the old grind. Hope everyone has a great day!!!

I am soooo excited!! Be asked my district to move Bella to a school closer to the shop. The real reason I wanted the transfer was because it is the best school in the city. It is set amongst the cities mansions, they have tons of extracurricular activities, the have famous musicians that do concerts there. Also the class size is only 12 : 1 with a helper. Her other school was good had a class size of 16:1 and they did not have a helper. So this is HUGE. and she got in. She starts tomorrow. The office person said that they are excited to get us. I have no idea why. I did a lot with Bellas school last year and helped with fund raising. I think that might be why but really I have no idea why she was "excited". We are thrilled though. Called DH and my mom and we were all whooping it up!! YAY!

Good morning all! I hope everyone had a great weekend - I was so busy between Friday and Monday I couldnt even drop by and say hello. I do have to say I am very proud of myself - I stuck to it with the diet and exercise. Even yesterday at the BBQ. I kept my portions very small, and still exercised that night when I got home (at 9:30) AND - I skipped going to Cold Stone Creamery to get ice cream with my boyfriend and friends.

I have a question for everyone here. When we step on the scale and the scale says you are 2 pounds lighter - how do you know its an actual 2 pound LOSE and not just a normal fluctuation in weight, cause I know that my weight fluctuates in 1 day a 2 pound difference. I got on the scale this morning (it is my weigh day) and it shows me down 2 pounds. Now, I have decided no more getting on the scale EVERY day. So this is the first I have been on the scale since last Tuesday. What is more surprising is it shows a 2 pound loss even though TOM arrived (and 3 weeks late at that) Im just not sure if I want to change my stats just yet - i dont want to have to change them back next week

KAR - what grade do you teach?

Sheila - I never gamble either, I just don't understand giving my money away like that! You got lucky though huh!! Im never lucky - i guess thats why i don't like gambling

GG - 3 pounds! wooohoo! Good job - I'm jealous!!

Laurie - I used to be an exercise fiend! I would actually turn into grouch if i did not get to my workouts in. I really miss that feeling that you are talking about - i love it. It a combination of accomplishment and euphoria - a wonderful mental high. Last night my legs felt like led during my workout - it was so hard - but i did it, I knew i had to or i will never get back to having those feelings towards exercise. I'm glad i stuck with it

Slim : I just went though the court thing with my daughter's father - it is so stressful. I hated it - mostly because he had a lawyer and i did not. Just think it will all be over soon (at least Im assuming if tommorrow is your court date) good luck - try and relax!

Lexy - just exercise a little more than you usually do and I'm sure that will minimize the damage!

RR - 4am? ughh

Everyone else : did you all have a great weekend?

Just a quick fly by so people know I'm still here and still reading.

Not really sticking to any sort of diet - yep, I'm a loser and NOT the right type - and I'm not really sure why I can't stick to anything these days.

I also know I need more exercise because I'm SO tired. Need more than my lunchtime walks but I just can't seem to motivate myself once I get home or when I get up. Blah.

Anyway :waves: to all the chicks & roosters out there.
