The article says that she's won bodybuilding competitions and has been on Oprah and The View, so I assume that she's the real deal, not photoshopped. As for surgery, that wouldn't build muscles. Squatting 135 pounds and benching 95 pounds, like she does, builds muscle. I think she's amazing!
Oh I mean the face, botox, etc. Good that people have seen her in real life. Yes I'd like to be like THAT at her age, heck I'd like to get muscle like that at 39! I'm trying. My legs hurt today from squats.
There's a woman at the gym who is much older and really lifts and does cardio. She is probably in her late 60s or 70s and looks great... but her workout gear is all that stuff from 80s aerobics and just looks SO odd on her...
Still, I'd like to have her bod NOW, much less at her age.
Isn't she just awesome! I've seen/heard about her from somewhere but I don't recall how. Anyway, I think about her when I'm feeling frustrated that I've only just begun lifting in my late thirties. She inspires me to think that I might be capable of a whole lot more than I realize.
Yep, I caught her on one of the Oprah's success story shows too. She had a few older ladies/grandma types on there if I remember right. It is pretty sad if they look better than us younguns!
Thanks for posting the article Meg.
I had seen her picture and been really impressed.
But it was wonderful to read the article and discover that she started at 73!!!!
WOW!!!!
